Travel through Faia Brava in an all-terrain vehicle, passing through important points that reveal the essence of Faia Brava. The steep landscape of the C么a River, a traditional pigeon house, the largest patch of cork oak in the region, including a visit to one 500 years old cork oak. Listen to the galloping Garrano horse herd and visit the typical stone houses and ancient trails that tell the story of this land.

Programme details

Dates: Available throughout the year (Monday to Sunday).

The tour begins with a visit to the location that witnessed the birth of Faia Brava, the Coto pigeon house, with a stunning view of the river. Next, a passage though the agroforest landscape, with ATN’s organic olive groves, the oak woodlands and the Sabóia Centre, ATN’s operational centre. Finally, the trail that leads to the Bicha pigeon house, with the Griffon vultures soaring above our heads and the sound of water below. The sound of nature at Faia Brava, a magical place.

Time: The visit lasts 3.5 hours at a time that suits the needs of visitors. Type of Visit: guided in an all-terrain vehicle, with small stops. Visits are designed for small groups,with a maximum of 8 participants. Distance Traveled: 40 km by vehicle; 250-500 m on foot | Dificulty: Easy; suitable for children (no auto-chair included). What to Bring: Clothing appropriate for the season and weather conditions predicted. Walking boots or sports shoes. Water. Optional: camera, binoculars. Cost Per Person: 20,00 euros/person (50% of discount for kids under 12) Includes: Guide, transportation in all-terrain vehicle from Fig. Castelo Rodrigo, personal accident insurance, 1 membership registration. Available Extras: Coffee and countryside snack (2,00 euros/person); optical equipment rental (2,00 euros/person); picnic basket (15 euros/person).
