Dear Wyoming RV Dealer: This letter is being written to notify you that the XYZ Motor Home Association National Rally will be held at the Cam-Plex Multi-Event Facilities in Gillette, Wyoming June 27June 30, 2089. XYZ recreational vehicles will be displayed and sold as part of a Trade Show during this event. Wyoming dealers wishing to procure space for displaying and selling XYZ RVs at this rally are to contact John Smith, XYZ Marketing Manager, by calling 777-777-7777 or by emailing johnsmith@XYZ.com Legislation passed by the 2007 Wyoming Legislature requires facility managers planning for an RV rally of more than 150 units to notify all in-state RV dealers of the event when the rally organizers are planning to have RVs on display and for sale. There is a three month period in which Wyoming dealers will have the first right of refusal to contract with rally organizers for available Trade Show space to sell RVs at the event. Once this three month period is over, rally organizers may offer all remaining Trade Show space to out-of-state RV dealers. In-state dealers may choose to contract for Trade Show space after the initial three month period but will receive no preference. The above three month period will begin five days after the date of this letter. This letter is being sent to all Wyoming RV dealers licensed with the State of Wyoming as of January 16, 2089. Sincerely,

Paul Foster, General Manager xc: Wyoming Department of Transportation John Smith

GUIDELINES WYOMING TEMPORARY RV SALE AND DISPLAY PERMIT LEGISLATION: In 2007, legislation was passed to allow for out of state recreational vehicle dealers to obtain a temporary seven day permit to display and sell RV’s at large RV rallies after all Wyoming dealers have been given an opportunity to be represented at that rally. Wyoming dealers will receive the first right of refusals to display and sell RV’s at any rally. The Wyoming Temporary RV Sale and Display Permit is the responsibility of the out of state dealers – NOT the responsibility of the Event Coordinators. Most dealers that are going to an out of state venue are aware that there are permitting and fees required with that state. This information with forms are given to the Event Coordinators to insure that out of state dealer(s) are aware of these fees. All RV Rallies of more than 150 units that plan to have RV’s on display and for sale must adhere to the following Wyoming law. 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO RALLY: CAM-PLEX officials will send a letter to Wyoming RV Dealers giving them the first right of refusals. (Sample letter included) AT LEAST 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO RALLY: Review Document A – Temporary Permit Application Instructions, Fill out and send to Wyoming Department of Transportation: Document B-Temporary Permit Applications Document C-Background Check, Supplemental Information Questionnaire. Federal-Criminal Fingerprint Card (Blue Card) and a State-Non Criminal Fingerprint Card (Orange Card). IT IS CRUCIAL THAT THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE FINGERPRINT CARDS ARE COMPLETED, including the Waiver and Dissemination Information on the back of the Orange Card. This seems to hold dealer license applications up the most. After WYDOT receives criminal background check results, WYDOT will contact dealers to get bond executed. Dealers go to their insurance company with Document D-Temporary Permit Bond form and get a surety bond. Once WYDOT receives the completed bond form WYDOT will mail Document E-Temporary Permit with Document F-Permit Holder Instructions on the use of demo plates, temporary registration forms and permit holder instructions etc. Document E-(Bottom Part) Statement of Sales, follow instructions and send to: Wyoming Department of Transportation Compliance & Investigation 5300 Bishop Boulevard Cheyenne, WY 82009-3340 Phone: 307-777-3815 Fax: 307-777-4229

Cost associated with permitting Permit Fee = $500.00, payable to WYDOT Fingerprint Fee = $39.00 certified funds payable to Wyoming Attorney General - DCI Bond = $25,000 surety bond, effective for a period of one year, through insurance company Demo Plates = $25.00 each, 2 max, payable to WYDOT Temp Registration Permits = $.50 each, 10 max, payable to WYDOT

Entertainment PAINT BRANDING Each spring and early summer cattle ranches brand their cattle as a way to mark them as their own. You can witness this branding and gain a clear understanding of the way the ranches work during this session. We call this session “paint branding as this will be a mock demonstration using paint instead of the hot iron. Frank Reynolds 1060 Adon Rd. Rozet, WY 82717 307-682-3646

CUTTING AND SNAFFLE BIT DEMONSTRATIONS Clarke will give a demonstration of how the cowboy goes into a herd of cattle and singles one out using his horse. The importance of teamwork is evidenced as you watch the horse go head to head with the steer to keep a separation between the steer and the herd. Clarke & Kathleen Reynolds 1060 Adon Rd. WALKING PATHS/LOCAL PARKS 37 MILES OF WALKING PATHS IN GILLETTE! 08/10/11

The LELAND LANDERS TRAIL is a self-guided interpretive trail located east of the WPA Building and Shelter #1 in the CAM-PLEX Park Picnic Area. A guide is available at the trail head or at the Recreation Center to help you discover the natural and historical features along the 1/4 mile trail. To get the most from your hike, use all of your senses and take full advantage of the beauty and solitude the area has to offer. Benches are located along the path to provide a resting place and to view birds and other wildlife.

The CAMPBELL COUNTY ARBORETUM is located near Shelter #6 at the East end of CAM-PLEX Picnic Area. This five acre area has over 100 species of trees and shrubs and offers an excellent opportunity to view colors, shapes and sizes of landscape plants adapted to our climate in Campbell County. Parking for the Arboretum is available near the shelter. There are no marked trails through the area, so feel free to wander about and enjoy the many different sizes and colors of trees growing in the Arboretum. Signs have been placed near many of the trees to aid in identification. Autumn is an excellent time to visit the Arboretum as many of the plants display brilliant fall colors.

LASTING LEGACY PARK has nearly a mile of walking paths to enjoy. Many of the park monuments, memorials and interpretive signs are located along the walking paths. Lighting is provided for night time use of the park for those who like to walk or run after the sun goes down. A parking lot is located in the park and restrooms are available at the Recreation Center during their operating hours.

BICENTENNIAL PARK features several paved walking paths that wind throughout the ballfield complex. The most popular is the loop around the soccer fields. This walkway loop is about 2/3 of a mile in length so three laps covers about 2 miles. This pathway is a popular place to walk and skate, as the distance from the road offers a quiet and safe location for the walker. Young children enjoy learning to ride bicycles at Bicentennial Park since the walking path is fairly level. Parking is available nearby and restrooms and a drinking fountain at the restroom building make the location very convenient for families to walk. (See the accompanying page for a list of Gillette’s public parks)

TOURS 01/02/13

SUMMER CAM-PLEX TOURS OPTIONAL TOURS Optional Tours are a great part of the fun and excitement of an event! The Gillette area itself offers interesting and educational tours highlighting the city and county’s claim as The Energy Capital, dispatching some 80 coal trains each day from seemingly bottomless open pit mines. The nation’s first National Monument, Devils Tower, is just 60 miles from Gillette, and you’ll be wide-eyed as you are guided through one of the largest herd of Bison in Wyoming at the Durham Ranch. Historic Deadwood, Rapid City and Mount Rushmore National Memorial are natural tours from Gillette. Don’t leave this area without taking in the history, beauty and heritage of the land known as “The Cowboy State.”

GENERAL INFORMATION: All tours are coordinated and operated by Powder River Transportation (coaches and tour coordination) in conjunction with CAM-PLEX. With respect to escorted tours, “Tour coordination” includes making arrangements with carrier, attractions, restaurants, etc., and providing escorts who will furnish onboard commentary and assure smooth tour operations. Non-escorted tours are sufficiently short in duration/mileage; therefore, escorts are not necessary, thus minimizing tour costs. Further, the host attractions provide escorts/guides once the tour arrives on site. It is altogether fitting that The Virginian, Owen Wister’s classic novel about the American West, is set in Wyoming, the most “western” of states. Vast beyond imagination, our mountains soar above sagebrush plains and have changed little since Jim Bridger’s time. Everywhere, wildlife ranges free beneath windswept skies; while cattle and sheep still outnumber residents. In an ever crowded world, Wyoming has become a refuge for travelers. Several of our tours are lengthy due to the size of the country out here. Transportation costs reflect that fact too. All of this might be viewed as a liability by some but we would argue that our open spaces and resulting wildlife are our greatest assets. The West wouldn’t be the West without its magnificent vistas and solitude. Add to this situation, comfortable coaches, professional drivers, and knowledgeable guides and you get a first-rate touring experience. We are happy to customize tours when possible. Leave CAM-PLEX on Powder River Transportation air-conditioned motor coaches for the following tours. Tour members should bring appropriate head and eye gear, as the western sun is usually intense; sunscreen is a good bet for those who are sensitive. Comfortable walking gear, cameras, and film will enhance the touring experience. A variety of casual clothing is recommended. On the longer outings, some reading material might be brought along to help the miles slip by. Binoculars could be a real plus!

TOURS (Continued) A. ESCORTED TOURS: DEADWOOD, SOUTH DAKOTA and DEVIL’S TOWER NATIONAL MONUMENT Deadwood, Dakota Territory, boomed on gold more than a century ago. The Year was 1876 and these pine-covered gulches were crawling with prospectors hoping to strike it rich. With the reintroduction of gambling in 1989, an earlier Deadwood has roared back to life (gunfights still erupt on Main Street, but these days, nobody gets hurt). Much of the revenue generated has returned this historic town to its golden past when Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane were prominent residents. Guests can try their luck at the gaming tables, walk about Deadwood’s historic downtown, or opt for a local tour of the city and Mount Moriah Cemetery, final resting place of such Deadwood luminaries as Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane (additional fee involved). The drive back to Gillette will take guests past Homestake, the longest continuously operating gold mine in the United States; then through scenic Spearfish Canyon which furnished the closing backdrop for Kevin Costner’s Dances With Wolves. Tour length: Approximately 8 hours Tour includes:  tour coordination  transportation  Lunch is not included and will be “on your own” in Downtown Deadwood

DEVILS TOWER NATIONAL MONUMENT Rising above surrounding forest and canyons, Devils Tower is a stunning example of the earth’s geologic past. Proclaimed America’s first national monument by Theodore Roosevelt in 1906, the tower’s popularity surged in 1977 with the release of the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Today thousands of climbers, hikers, and other visitors come annually to this monolith to enjoy its challenges, beauty, and wildlife. Mateo Tepee or “Bear Lodge,” as Devils Tower was known to Native Americans, is still sacred to them. Time will be allowed for tour members to walk around the tower’s base (1 mile), enjoy the visitor center, and study the many prairie dogs who make their home here. Tour length at Tower: 1 ½ hours Group then travels to Deadwood, lunch on your own. Leave Deadwood approximately 4:00 pm, back to Gillette 5:30 pm Tour includes:  transportation  admission to Devils Tower National Monument (Continued next page)

97

TOURS (Continued) MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL/CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL This tour of the fabled Black Hills will spotlight Mount Rushmore National Monument, America’s shrine of democracy. Dedicated in 1927 by President Calvin Coolidge, the monumental carvings would fully emerge 14 years later. The 60-feet tall granite busts of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt are regarded as symbols of our nation’s heritage and strength, and draw sightseers from around the world. Among the many things to enjoy are the visitor center, gift shop, cafeteria, observation decks, and pinescented walking paths. Next stop is Crazy Horse Memorial. Dwarfing Mount Rushmore, this monument to the great Oglala war chief was begun in 1948. Once completed, years of blasting and carving will project Crazy Horse and his steed 563 feet into the South Dakota sky. Also popular with visitors here are the Indian Museum of North America and the Native American Educational and Cultural Center where one can often meet Indian artists and craftsmen. Tour length: 10 hours 15 minutes Tour includes:  Guide services available  transportation  admission to Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore  (lunch is not included and will be “on your own” at Mount Rushmore)

DURHAM BISON RANCH Prior to the great movement of pioneers to the West, the Powder River Basin of Wyoming supported millions of bison (often called “buffalo”) and was considered primary hunting grounds for many Plains Indian tribes. After near extinction, surplus bison from the Yellowstone Park herd were reintroduced onto the 60,000 acre Durham Ranch in 1959. Today, nearly 4,000 bison roam the plains of the Durham Ranch, the second largest bison ranch in America. The Flocchini family, owners and operators of the ranch, invite you to get up close and personal to the herd during your tour. While you’re in Wyoming, you’ll want to try a BBQ buffalo sandwich, lean and tasty – cooked for you at the ranch (includes homemade rolls, potato salad, baked beans, chips, lemonade, iced tea and cookies or brownies.) Shelter with tables and chairs are provided. Tour length: 4 hours Tour includes:  Guide services at the ranch  transportation  Lunch Second option is morning or afternoon tour with no lunch (Continued next page)

TOURS (Continued) LITTLE BIGHORN BATTLEFIELD Custer’s story begins long before the battle in 1876. Our first stop at Ft. Phil Kearny will set the stage for the upcoming conflict. Our next stop will be the modern Trading Post near the Custer Battlefield and will include lunch. Little Bighorn National Monument is our next stop. It memorializes the site of the Battle of the Little Bighorn which took place on June 25-26, 1876 between the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment led by Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer, and the Sioux and Cheyenne under the leadership of Sitting Bull. A visitor center and museum contains exhibits relating to the battle. The museum features exhibits of the history of the battle, Custer, weapons, archaeology, Plains Indian life, and a walking tour with interpretive markers. Adjoining the visitor center is Custer National Cemetery which includes interments from abandoned frontier military posts, the world wars, Korea and Vietnam. Tour length: 10 hours 30 minutes Tour includes:  tour coordination/guide available  transportation  admission into park

Other information to make your tours more enjoyable: 1. As hot as it may be during the day, when the sun goes down it can cool off considerably, often dropping as much as 30-40 degrees. A light jacket or sweatshirt is always a good idea. 2. Wyoming’s semi-arid climate calls for replacing lost moisture often during the day. Plan on taking a bottle of water, chap stick and hand lotion for your comfort. 3. All motor coaches are equipped with clean restrooms; however, we have also planned stops at visitor centers for additional facilities on our longer tours.
