Lyrics booklet of the song Pocket Calculator by Kraftwerk, pioneers of electronic music. The purpose of the project consists in the interpretation of the song text with fonts and layouts.
I used the OCR-A typeface based on the aesthetics of the original 1981 album Computer World. OCR-A was the first font created to improve optical character recognition by computers.
The series of numbers on the background of the pages compose the melody of the song: Kraftwerk used the first Casio calculators to write the melody, using the notes that the pressed keys emit.
