BARBER LADY

Jen Winters has 20 years’ experience under her belt. Starting out in women’s hairdressing 18 years ago, she switched to barbering in 2016. A year later she opened Phoney Pony Barbers in Chelmsford, England. Jen is passionate about creating an inclusive and safe space. A place where the trans community, gay community, women and straight men feel at home. People from every walk of life exchange perspectives and share a laugh at Phoney Pony.

Winning the Great British Barber title in 2018 has brought her countless opportunities and she calls it the icing on the cake. She performed live with Brodie Raeside at this year’s BarberSociety Live in Amsterdam. She enjoys international events, but says her barbershop is where her heart is. Jen’s positive message of inclusivity, diversity and loving life is one that needs to be heard.
