Pitzalis Irene is a small barbershop located at the foot of the bridge Sant' Antonio a San Lio.

The current owner, Irene Pitzalis, is a friendly lady and wields clippers with great skill. She was brought up with the profession, even as an 8-year-old girl she helped wash the hair of her father Giovanni's clients. From the 1960s, her father worked at the place as a barber. He bought the business and worked there until his death in 2015. Her father taught her how to handle a razor and she worked with him for 24 years. her father had decorated it. The shop is full of pictures with memories of him. She is now one of the most successful barbers practising the craft as well as the only female barber in Venice.

Antica Barberia Amato is Venice's oldest barbershop and will celebrate its centenary in 2024. In 1924, the barbershop was founded by Bernardino, the grandfather of current owner and third-generation Alberto Amato. His barbershop in Campo San Polo is located in the city's beautiful historic centre and is a great place to relax and have a chat.
