This is followed by a careful fermentation process in which natural yeast converts the sweet juices into a rich, aromatic must. BLANCO Often also referred to as silver, this is the purest form of tequila. Unaged and bottled directly after distillation, it con veys the authentic essence of the blue agave. Clear with a powerful kick, it is the perfect base for countless classic tequila cocktails.
JOVEN means ‘young’ and intertwines the purity of blanco tequila with the subtle complexity of aged tequila. Often, it is a blend of unaged and aged tequila, sometimes enriched with cara mel colouring or sugar.
means ‘rested’. This tequila spends two months to a year in oak barrels before being bottled, resulting in a smooth golden colour and a balanced flavour. The perfect harmony of agave freshness and spicy wood notes.
AÑEJO means ‘old’ or ‘vintage’. This tequila is usually aged for at least a year, and often up to three, in oak barrels. This aging process yields a darker colour and a depth of flavour reminis cent of fine whisky or brandy.
EXTRA AÑEJO is the highest quality grade and classifies tequilas that have been aged for at least three years in oak barrels. These te quilas impart a sublime complexity and often represent the pinnacle of a tequila crafter’s art.
