We’ve come a long way since Nancy and Tessa started Barefoot Books in 1992 from their homes in London and Somerset. We started with a mission to create beautiful books that spark curiosity, celebrate diversity and capture children’s imaginations. It hasn’t always been easy, but this mission has carried us through the twists and turns of growing a business that dares to be different. Barefoot has grown into a thriving global community of kids and adults alike who believe in the power of story.
