Opening children’s hearts, minds, and worlds
Opening children’s hearts, minds, and worlds
With our Spring 2025 collection, we set out to give little ones the tools to not only see how they want to make the world a better place, but also to empower them to stand up and do something about it. What better way to motivate readers to take action than with our new title Rise Up! (p. 2), a bold nonfiction book that explores 25 moments of protest, resistance, and revolution throughout American history. Sometimes making change means conquering inner fears (Kwesi and Nana Ruby Learn to Swim, p. 6) or discovering your own unique beat (Music of the Mountains, p. 10). It’s also about making sure the history we teach reflects the full and true stories like in our newest singalong Take Me Out to the Ball Game! (p. 4) that dives into the players and parks that shaped baseball as we know it today. We are also absolutely thrilled to launch our Barefoot Bilinguals Collection (p. 12), featuring some of our bestselling titles in five languages (with more coming soon!) to meet the growing need for books in global languages.
I hope you find the inspiration and power in these stories to set out and take on the world, one step towards change at a time.
Happy reading,
