We make it easier for you There are of course many small parts to the building process, but if you’re building for the first time, here are the five main steps you’ll cover, from choosing your plans right through to holding the front door keys in your hand.
1. Select your type of plan Because we like options to be flexible, but also easy, Davis Sanders Homes lets you choose:
a. A pre-designed set plan as it is without modifications except for your own choice of facades, colours and finishes;
b. A set plan that’s modified to suit your needs. Just tell us what you’d like altered and our designers will create a new floorplan for you, free of charge;
c. A custom built Encore home, designed from scratch to fit your needs, aspirations and investment.
2. Choose the home style Whether you’re looking for lots of entertaining space; privacy from the kids; room to grow; or a cosy cottage that isn’t going to demand a lot of time, then you’re sure to find a Davis Sanders Homes design that’s just right for your budget, homesite and lifestyle. And of course, each of our set plans can be adapted to make your home absolutely perfect.
3. Make it yours From specification levels to colour schemes, finishes, fittings and detailing, you control how your new home is going to look when it’s finished. We spend a full day with you, exploring all the different colours, textures and styles available and then help you decide. We’ll maintain a running estimate of the final cost so that there are no nasty shocks when it comes to signing the final paperwork.
4. Contracts and approvals When it’s time to sign the contract, we know this can be one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the building process. We’ll explain everything in plain English and give you time to make sure everything is exactly the way you want it. Once signed, the team at Davis Sanders Homes will manage all the paperwork and submit the plans for approval.
5. Watch the dream become reality Once the construction of your home is complete, we walk you through our pre-handover inspection process and give you the keys. It’s time to add the personal touches to really make it yours. We don’t leave it there though. After three months we’ll come back to make sure that everything is exactly as it should be. And remember, we’re with you for life, so at any stage, if you need to ask us anything we’ll always be there to help. 8

Community is like family, only bigger We’ve always recognised the importance of supporting our local community – after all, communities are fundamental to happy lives. For many years, Davis Sanders Homes has been helping sports groups in Griffith, Hidden Valley, Albury and Wodonga, both through financial sponsorship and by offering building and renovating services such as Auskick facilities and storage areas in local football clubs. More recently, we rolled up our sleeves and provided our expertise in design and construction to build a Ronald McDonald Family Room attached to the maternity unit of the Wodonga Hospital. We rallied together with our trade associates, many of whom happily donated their time, goods and services for free or at cost, to build this important new facility. The free-standing house now provides families with a homeaway-from-home when caring for premature and ill newborns in the maternity unit, which has, since it opened in 2010, become a comfortable and much appreciated retreat for hundreds of families from across the region.
