With the ease of travel policies, we are updating our regulations and procedures in line with the Health Protection Agency guidelines of Maldives. COVID TRAVEL FAQ Please find below a list of frequently asked questions about travelling to the Maldives and about our operations during this period. We have provided the official Government links as the requirements are revisited every 14 days, in order to ensure that the information given is valid and up to date. Republic of Maldives Immigration will provide answers to the following questions below in preparation of your arrival. https://immigration.gov.mv/faq-for-visiting-the-maldives/ 1. Do I have to wear a mask? 9. How will I know social distancing practices to follow at the airport? 10. How will I get to my hotel? 11. Are there medical services available at the hotel? 12. Can I visit a different island while I am here on holiday? 13. What if I have transit needs? 14. Do I have to do a Covid-19 test before I can leave the Maldives? 15. What can I do to have a safer holiday experience in the Maldives?


Arrival to the Maldives 1. WHAT HAPPENS TO ME IF I HAVE A COLD/SYMPTOMS ON ARRIVAL? All tourists will undergo non-intrusive temperature checks on arrival to the Maldives. You may also be chosen for a random Covid-19 PCR test by the Health Protection Agency. This is a voluntary test, and the Maldives Government will pay the cost for random testing. For all guests who exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19 on arrival, a PCR test will be required for all those travelling together. Testing will be conducted by the Health Protection Agency of the Maldives and you will need to stay in their care until results have been received. 2. WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET RANDOMLY PICKED FOR TESTING? You will need to stay in the care of the Health Protection Agency of Maldives until results have been received. If your results are negative, you may continue to Baros Maldives as booked. If your results are positive for Covid-19, you will need to stay in the care of the Health Protection Agency. Terms & conditions will be shared by the authorities in designated accommodation. 3. DOES THE RESORT ALLOW ARRIVALS FROM OTHER TOURIST ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE MALDIVES? Split stays are permitted between the tourist establishments that meet all compulsory requirements established by the Maldives Health Protection Agency. .


Transfer to the Resorts 1.

HOW ARE THE TRANSFERS TO BAROS MALDIVES MANAGED?

Transfers to Baros Maldives will be operating as per the guidelines given by the Maldives Health Protection Agency, with the enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Boat transfers are available from the airport to the resort for when you arrive. For a smooth travel experience, we encourage you or your travel agent to forward us your flight details 72hours prior to arrival. Private transfer rates are available on request. 2. WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS THE RESORT TRANSFER DUE TO DELAYS INSIDE THE AIRPORT? Do not worry if your transfer has been booked within 72hours prior to your arrival, we will wait until you complete all necessary formalities. .


Whilst in Resort 1. DO WE HAVE TO WEAR MASKS ON THE RESORT? In majority of our island wearing a mask is not required. Only in designated closed areas it could be applicable. 2. WILL OUR VILLAS STILL GET TWICE DAILY SERVICE? We are back to normal operations until further notice. 3. CAN I STILL GO ON EXCURSIONS? Yes, it is highly recommended to book your selected excursions at the earliest as the space maybe limited. Check with our team for any on-going promotions. 4. WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE? Cash less payments have been more common these past years, but cash will be accepted. 5. WHAT MEDICAL FACILITIES DO YOU HAVE? Baros Maldives has an in-house resident doctor and nurse. They are experienced professional and certified to comply with the latest guidelines by the Maldives Health Protection Agency.

Whilst in Resort 6. ARE BUFFETS STILL AVAILABLE? At Lime Restaurant we offer buffet breakfast. For lunch and dinner we offer a la carte service. 7. DO WE NEED TO RESERVE A TIME TO DINE FOR OUR MEALS? Reservations are always preferable and recommended to offer the choice of selecting your table. 8. ARE ALL THE RESTAURANTS AND BARS OPEN? Restaurants and bars are open, though operating day and hours. 9. WHAT TYPE OF EVENING ENTERTAINMENT IS AVAILABLE DURING THIS PERIOD? The entertainment schedule will be available with our team and updated on weekly basis. 10. ARE WE ABLE TO USE THE FACILITIES OF THE RESORT WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS? The island is offering variety of options during your stay. Swimming pools, Spa, Gym, Water Sports, Restaurants, Bars, etc. will be available. We invite you to respect normal social distancing and to respect safety and securing measures in place.

Whilst in Resort 11. WHAT HAPPENS IF I DEVELOP COVID-19 SYMPTOMS DURING MY STAY AT THE RESORT First, we invite you to get in touch with our team to get tested. In the unfortunate event your result comes back positive for Covid-19, you will be required to transfer to a designated isolation accommodation in the resort and a special rate on Full Board basis will be extended. Cancellation charges will be waived off for the rest of the stay for the originally booked accommodation. 12. WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED SPECIAL MEDICAL CARE OR IF MY SYMPTOMS WORSEN? Whilst you are in our care, you will be closely monitored by our in-house Doctor. In case your symptoms worsen, we will consult the Maldives Health Protection Agency and based on the medical personnel’s advice, further actions will be taken. You may be required to transfer to a close by hospital or medical facility available. 13. WHAT IF I REQUIRE A PCR TEST PRIOR TO MY DEPARTURE? For any guests that require PCR test on departure, the resort will arrange testing through a Government approved facility. This service should be requested at the time of reservation or on arrival. The costs of the PCR test will be at your expense. Pricing is available at resort. 14. CAN I BUY A TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY FROM THE MALDIVES? This is highly recommended to subscribe to a travel insurance in general. Be informed that Allied Insurance company of the Maldives has launched a Covid-19 insurance policy focusing on tourists who visit Maldives. This policy covers specific expenses.
