Barratt Health & Wellbeing Month Throughout October we’ll be focusing on the different aspects which all play a part in our overall health and wellbeing. We’ll be sending emails and sharing updates on Our Place, looking at each of these areas in turn and providing details on the help and support available to colleagues and where to find out more information. You can also find out more about our commitment to your health and wellbeing in this short video.
Healthcare Employee Benefits At Barratt we are committed to health promotion by encouraging the adoption of healthier lifestyles for all of our people. This week we look at the healthcare benefits available through the Company, in addition to menopause in conjunction with Menopause Awareness Month during October. Did you know, every employee is entitled to an annual health assessment? Visit your new My Barratt Benefits platform for further information. We offer a range of voluntary and flexible benefits. These are benefits which you can opt to receive which are funded by you, normally as a deduction through Payroll. Some voluntary benefits are available through salary sacrifice.*
*Salary Sacrifice is an arrangement between you and the Company where you pay for some items or services straight from your pre-tax salary. You are not able to exchange pay to a level that would put you below the National Minimum Wage.
Flexible benefits include... Discounted gym membership Bupa Healthcare Cashplan Cancer Checks
My Active Discounts In addition, all employees also have access to My Active Discounts which provides great savings with big brands, covering everything from nutrition, sports clothing and footwear to adventure days, spa breaks and travel. Visit your My Barratt Benefits platform here to find out more.
Menopause Menopause can cause anxiety and distress for many women. The physical changes accompany mood swings and loss of confidence. Menopause is a natural stage of life that every woman will experience at some point. It’s a normal biological transition that occurs around the ages of 45-55. A healthy lifestyle can minimise the effects of the menopause. There are so many ways that the right nutrition can help to support a healthy menopause. Visit the Menopause page of the Health & Wellbeing tile on Our Place for further information.
