Enhanced Flexible Working Policy
Those that are eligible for SMP, are also eligible to receive Company Enhanced Maternity Pay which is basic pay for the first 18 weeks (inclusive of SMP), after which the rate of SMP with be paid for a further 21 weeks at the current statutory rate. Employees eligible for Paternity Leave will be entitled to Company Enhanced Paternity Pay which equates to a maximum of 2 weeks basic pay (pay will be aligned to leave and so must be taken in a single block of one or two weeks.) Employees eligible for Statutory Adoption Pay, are also eligible to receive Company Enhanced Adoption Pay which is basic pay for the first 18 weeks (inclusive of SAP), after which the rate of SAP with be paid for a further 21 weeks at the current statutory rate. The Company offers eligible employees Company Enhanced Shared Parental Pay to a maximum of 18 weeks.
Eligible employees are entitled to take a period of up to 18 weeks leave in respect of each child. This must be taken in blocks of 1 week up to a maximum of 4 weeks in any given year. All employees, regardless of their length of service have the right to request flexible working and to have their request considered seriously by their employer. Employees are able to request more than one change within a 12 month period, providing their circumstances have changed.
Carers Leave
Provision of paid carers’ leave of up to 3 days a year, with the ability to take the leave in hours. There is a specific definition of carer contained within the revised policy.
Assisted Fertility Leave
Provision of paid assisted fertility leave of up to 2 days per cycle of treatment, regardless of gender.
