HERO’S WELCOME VERMONT When people think of mom and pop shops, they tend to think of places like Hero’s Welcome in Vermont. On one of the Hero Islands in Lake Champlain, the Tudhope family ran this store from the building for 90 years. Since 1993, the owners in charge now sell a little bit of everything. This classic little shop on an island can be found by “car, bike, horse, ferry, seaplane, kayak, canoe, water skis and even ice skates,” as said by their website.
