Introduction Allow me to start first by congratulating you for having the courage to go after your dreams and pursue a better life for you and your family. Despite the pitfalls you’ll likely face, don’t ever quit... your freedom is worth it! About Me I was born in Puerto Rico and lived there until I was 16 years old. I made the biggest move of my life when my parents moved us to Virginia Beach. I went on to graduate from Virginia Tech after attending there on an athletic scholarship. Having earned 2 degrees, I felt like I was doing everything right to go on and become a “Success”. I took a year off and traveled back to the Caribbean to pursue my surfing passion before starting “My Career”. When I eventually returned to the Mainland and got a job with a major company, I felt like a part of me was dying. I missed the lack of freedom and adventure I had experienced. The corporate ‘politics’ were unbearable! After 12 years of dedicated service, I was told I’d have to relocate to keep my job due to downsizing. Moving away from my friends and my beach lifestyle was awful. Then came the pay cuts, pension freezing and 401k cuts! I teamed up with a dynamic young real estate investor, and in a matter of a few years had acquired a respectable real estate investment portfolio. It was a step toward building my retirement, but I still needed more income. Repair bills never stop coming in, and financing is almost impossible to get now with a deepening recession setting in. Traffic & Leads So, there are many ways to generate leads for your business. The good news is you only need to become a master of one method to start generating leads and converting them into sales. Some of the methods include: Content Marketing • Articles • Blogging • Videos Email Post Cards Social Media (Facebook) Voice Broadcasting What I’m going to share information with you about now is using Content Marketing, specifically blogging to generate leads. I started posting blogs and doing reviews years ago and didn’t fully understand the process of ‘EFFECTIVE CONTENT MARKETING”

I learned that writing about stuff that might be of interest to other marketers to attract them to my business, was an effort in vain, if the information couldn’t be found. Note: The paragraph above is worth reading again…. I watched a webinar where a leading marketer talked about how he generated a ton of leads and became an industry leader by blogging about stuff with intentions of attracting other marketers (your best prospects by the way). So I decided to do the same thing. My results at the time were dismal! I wrote a ton of articles, made videos and very few people seemed to ever run across my stuff or visit my blog. Then, I discovered the missing ingredient for success with blogging or content marketing, with the end goal of being found through online ‘SEARCHES’ by other people.

The missing piece of the puzzle was learning how to get my content to show ON THE FIRST PAGE OF GOOGLE when people were doing online searches.

Make no mistake about it. If you don’t get this right, You’re absolutely wasting your time with content marketing. It’s like setting up a storefront on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean. You’ll have no ‘traffic’ or visitors to your store, and therefore no business.

Generating Leads by Creating Blog Posts Here is how using Blog Post for lead generation works: • You write a post about a subject that would be of interest to someone in your niche (network marketers, affiliate marketers, home business prospects etc). • You make sure the content is focused on a ‘Keyword’ that would be used to search for the information. • You create a post on your blog and make sure that you have optimized the post to be Search Engine ‘Friendly’. Don’t worry if you have no idea how to do this. I’ll be going over this in more detail inside my training.

Sounds easy enough right? Maybe so, but I discovered this is only half of the equation. Without some “Offsite” work or ‘backlinking’ to your post, your article will remain lost in the Google information ocean, never to be found.

What you need are some links to your post from other articles, blogs and forums to give your post some ‘popularity’ in the eyes of the Google ‘bots’ or search programs. Note: If some of this lingo sounds like a foreign language and seems complicated, don’t worry..it’s so simple a monkey could do it if you showed it how.

So, this is how it works in a nutshell. You submit your content through your blog post or article. Google’s ‘bots’ find your content and add it to their vast library of information. Unfortunately, the library is so massive, that no one will ever find the information unless they knew ahead of time where to look for it. Think about it like this..When you’re looking for information online, how do you usually find it? Most people type in a search query into Google or some other Search Engine (Yahoo, MSN etc). When the results come up, they usually view the information that Google fetches and displays…ON THE FIRST PAGE..IN ONE OF THE TOP 10 POSITIONS!

If you don’t understand what any of this backlinking stuff is all about yet, don’t fret! It’s easy as pie and you’ll learn how to do it effectively in my training program if you opt in for more information!

So, you probably get the idea that it’s important to get your content viewed on the first page of Google or other Search Engines. But you may not know yet how it really works to get traffic to your site. What is actually happening is that you’re tapping into existing traffic through searches that are already being conducted online. Some MLM companies bring searches numbering in the 10’s of thousands every month. When you provide content of value that offers a ‘solution’ to what people are looking for, they can find the information on your blog and then learn more about you and your offers.
