New Taipei City Museum of Art Conceptual Design International Competition Team Members: Chih-Yin Chien / Tze-Yuan Tsai 2011 Taipei, Taiwan
The idea of museum and the exhibition experience should be raised in connection with the culture in the city. Hence it is essential for cultural infrastructure to be able to invite ambient users to participate in different cultural events.
also could create a new exhibition experience. The court yard formed by the spiral space provides natural day-lighting for exhibition space and also an open public space for citizens. Furthermore, we combine the landscape, art resource center and art arcade shops which I n o u r s c h e m e , t h e re l a t i o n s h i p b e t we e n essentially makes the museum become a “ We want a project which configures gradually environment and people is intimate by designing people’s art museum”. an important scenario for New Taipei city’s a double spiral space which doesn’t only keep citizens, because by doing this, we will guarantee the flexibility and variety of exhibition space but a successful operation for many years, which will increase its value as it becomes part of users heritage. Thus we combine different programs with exhibition space to conform social and cultural life, fitting the proposal into the city.

Hampstead Road AHMM Architects 2010-2011 London, UK This proposed mix-use development in Camden transforms two existing warehouse buildings by reconfiguring the internal space and adding dramatic ‘sky box’ extensions to each building. A triangular 12-storey residential tower replaces the petrol station currently located on the site. The existing underused green space to the south will to be transformed into a more inviting and better connected public open space.
