BALLPARK BUILDER

Our Core Purpose as a Nationwide Leader in the Construction Industry: “Building with the American Spirit - People. Projects. Communities.”

In the mid-1930’s, Barton Malow made its rookie appearance as a sports builder, with a small subcontract for the renovation of Navin Field, the previous home of the Detroit Tigers. Within a few decades, Barton Malow would emerge as leading constructors of sports facilities throughout North America. In 1973 Barton Malow broke ground for the Pontiac Silverdome. Its unusual features and its financial and schedule constraints, were in the “public eye.“ The successful completion of this, and more than 100 sports facilities across the country has made us one of the leading firms in this specialty market! Barton Malow has and currently is delivering several noteworthy professional sport projects throughout the United States. We are most notably successful for the quality of our buildings, built by first-rate personnel, while maintaining safety for workers on each jobsite. We have a successful reputation resulting directly from our project teams who care deeply about the communities where we live, work and play. A commitment to community outreach and engagement is at the core of how we do business.

100% AMERICAN OWNED COMPANY

BUILDING COMMUNITIES For over 60 years, Barton Malow has donated 5% of its earnings to charity. The Barton Malow Foundation was established on February 26, 1954. For 90 years, Barton Malow Company leaders have all shared one common goal – an extraordinary dedication to community service. This tradition of community building has been a Barton Malow hallmark since 1924, and it has been nourished by the commitment of our employees. Employees participate in yearly builds for Habitat for Humanity nationally, coordination of facility renovations at other non-profit organizations, hosting American Red Cross blood drives and mentoring others. Our employees support educational institutions as instructors, board and committee members, fund-raisers and trustees. They lead apprenticeship programs, conduct career fairs, speak to advance careers in construction, lead project tours for youth organizations, serve as scout leaders, coach youth sporting groups, assist the elderly and perform as fire fighters. We are proud that employees make it a priority to serve non-profit organizations, with many doing so in leadership positions.

COMMITTED TO INCLUSION Barton Malow’s commitment to diversity, helping minority-owned, women-owned, and small business enterprises remains a Barton Malow core value today. We are committed to ensuring that minority and women-owned businesses have a fair opportunity to contract with the company in all areas. Barton Malow pledges to incorporate SBE, WBE and MBE participation to ensure overall MWSBE utilization is maximized to the greatest extent possible. We make every good faith effort not only to reach, but to exceed client goals. Our team has had success incorporating MWSBE participation in several regional projects, including BB&T Ballpark and a number of additional projects as shown in the sample below.
