Fifty Shades Freed Written by E L James To Download You copy please click here www.5x.co.nz/freed.php When unworldly student Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged young entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and ultimately repelled by Christian’s singular sexual tastes, Ana demanded a deeper commitment; determined to keep her, Christian agreed. Now, together, they have more—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities. But Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy and being together poses challenges neither of them ever anticipated. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own integrity, identity, or independence; Christian must somehow overcome his compulsion to control and lay to rest the horrors that blighted his past and haunt his present. Just when it seems that together their love can conquer any obstacle, tragedy, malice and fate combine to make Ana’s worst nightmares come true. Alone and desperate, she must face down the poisoned legacy of Christian’s past. Seductive, shocking, sad, and funny, Fifty Shades Freed is the compelling final volume in the Fifty Shades trilogy. ------------------------------------------------------- I found this conclusion to the whole Fifty Shades Trilogy satisfying because it brings to the surface in a moving way what I think James explores throughout her story. No, these three books are not about how the love of a good woman can save a rascal--FSoF continues to show that Anastasia can't save Christian by her love. And no, they're not about how trust and patience can teach lovers to accept each other's sexual pleasures even when these take them 'way outside the usual comfort zones--Anastasia remains frightened, almost to the end, of what Christian might do to her sexually when he's angry. Instead, these books are about fifty shades of child abuse, both what Christian suffers as a toddler and what is inflicted on him by a sexual predator. He has to acknowledge truths about his birth mother and about "Mrs. Robinson" that allow him to see correctly both how much he really loved the one and really should abhor the other. Anastasia has been saying this from fairly early on in Fifty Shades of Grey, but by herself she can't get Christian there. *** SPOILER ALERT *** Instead, he is finally saved by the coming of his own child who, he learns to realize, will one day need his protection from both neglect ("sh***y parenting," as he calls it) and from sexual abuse. Finally he's able to see both his birth mother and Elena with new, more adult eyes. And James' handling of the unexpected pregnancy is really well done--painful and true to form for both Anastasia and Christian, with no sudden hearts and flowers.
Incidentally, if my focus seems too much on Christian when the point of view is Anastasia's, I'd point out that her name means "Resurrection" in Greek (& Russian)--that we're talking about salvation at some fundamental level seems obviously flagged by these two names! So why not five stars? Like the first two books, this one is too long; two awkward and unnecessary plot lines continue to plod along. One is completely useless, involving a former 'sub,' and the other, involving Mr. Hyde (another obvious name!), is mainly useful for generating Anastasia's Christ-like sacrifice and death-like coma during which Christian finally is 'saved.' (Sorry, but there really is a lot of religious symbolism for what is being marketed as a BDSM romance!)
