I am the owner and principal photographer of Baskin Creative Co. - a boutique, fine art wedding & portrait photography studio based here in Regina and serving brides across all of western Canada and destinations beyond. I specialize in offering newly engaged couples a luxury photography experience by creating elegant portraits and romantic wedding images that evoke a sense of timelessness appeal and charm.
Since moving to Regina in the summer of 2022, I have loved meeting and connecting with other like-minded, industry professionals and collaborating on projects that enrich our connections professionally and also lead to real, genuine and lasting relationships To that end, I would like to thank you for taking the time to connect with me in this proposal. I just want to take a quick moment to better introduce myself to you and to have you meet the four people I love most in this world - my family! My husband, Kirk, and I have been married for 11 years, and it has been the best 11 years of my life!! Together we have three of the world's most amazing children: Layla, who is the sweetest and most inquisitive 10-year-old girl you have ever met! Evan, a police car-obsessed, 8-year-old boy, and little Ava Grace who is proof that dynamite comes in the most perfect, beautiful, small package! They are the reason why I do what I do and they always encourage and cheer me on to keep doing what I love - capturing timeless and elegant images that are filled with heart and soul and that tell a story worth remembering. I truly believe that God has given me this job because it allows my creative gift and passion to have purpose and I love being a wife, mamma, sister, friend, and photographer.

The reason I am reaching out to you specifically is because I genuinely admire your work and I would like to propose the idea of us collaborating together on a styled wedding photo shoot. I have been followng you on social media for some time and have taken the time to look through your work in order to learn more about you and the work you do and I have gained a genuine appreciation and respect for you and the high quality work you do.
My impression of you is that you are a highly skilled wedding professional who would bring great value to this project in your domain of expertise and I think that we would work really well together in creating a beautiful photo shoot that we are both proud of.

In March of 2023, together with a team of excellent and professional wedding vendors, we collaborated on that shoot that was selected for digital publication in Confetti Magazine - one of Canada's largest wedding publications. The images from that shoot are included throughout this proposal for your convenience In the Fall of last year, we again collaborated on yet another wedding-themed photoshoot that is set to be published both in print by Mint-The Wedding Experience magazine an digitally online by Brontë Bride this summer. While I am over the moon with the outcome of these collaborations, I find that I am ready and fired up for another next collaborative opportunity. My vision for this shoot is to create an elevated, fresh, and elegant shoot with bold, showstopping, design elements.
I am striving to create a well-designed and curated photo shoot that is thoughtfully put together with beautiful and distinctive design elements that make a statement that we are not only proud to showcase in our respective portfolios but that will make this shoot a strong contender for a publication.

I am also including in this proposal the mood board that I have created for this shoot and I feel that between the mood board and Pinterest vision board, you will likely have a very clear understanding of what my intentions and objectives are for this project. Together, we will create stunning work that will elevate the standing of our current portfolios, showcase our excellence and skill to potential and future brides and, ensure that our photo shoot is a strong contender for a print publication!
Once we have completed the photo shoot, I will submit the images to the publications listed below in the hopes that we would be selected to be featured. While I cannot guarantee that we will indeed be selected for publication, I do believe that the calibre of work we produce will make us strong candidates for publication.

There is no denying that being published would be deeply satisfying because it would be the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication finally paying off - and that moment would definitely be one worth savouring as it would be well-earned. A lesser known but extremely valuable benefit of being published outside of the favourable publicity is the fact that being published improves our respective SEOs and helps bloster our online presence. Having these backlinks from other websites that redirect back to our respective websites helps us all to rank higher in Google searches and this has the great potential to increase our leads and inquiries exponentially and consistently over time. While the initial buzz and media hype of being published will eventually settle, having strong SEO backlinks from other websites will continue to pay dividends well beyond the initial publication
With regards to when and where the styled shoot should take place, I thought it best to run my proposal past you first as you are the venue and the date of the shoot should be around your availability. I do, however, propose setting the photo shoot for a weekday during the summer - perhaps sometime in August - as I envision the shoot taking place on lush and green surroundings. I wold hate to impose doing the shoot on a weekend as I do not wish to interfere with any weekend functions that may be booked by you, hence why I suggest the shoot take place on a weekday. Our goal is to hopefully secure a publication that would be in season, however, this is ultimately at the discretion of the publication
