About Nigeria: Lagos AIESEC LAGOS was created 40 years ago and over the years has evolved into one of AIESEC Nigeria’s leading local committees with her perfect blend of people, culture and learning fun environment. Home to over 50 local government areas, Lagos is a port and the most populous in Nigeria. The third mainland bridge connecting Lagos island to the mainland is the longest bridge in Africa. It measures about 11.5 km. It is the second fastest growing city in Africa . You just cannot have enough of Lagos’s Amala, Ewedu, Efo, local porridge. Iganmu is home to the primary centre for the performing arts and artistes in Nigeria. Paul McCartney also recorded his third post Beatles album in Lagos in 1973. Lagos is noted for her beautiful sandy beaches like the Elegushi beach, Alpha beach, Oniru Beach, Lekki conservation park, The National Museum and the feel of Friday’s groove at the freedom park and her wonderful night life.The second World African Festival of Arts and Culture was held in Festac town, Lagos in 1977.
Project Presentation ď‚— Project Care
Project Care is a health empowerment initiative designed by AIESEC Lagos that seeks to groom families, students and communities on health related issues. It looks at bringing together interns and health personnel from different parts of the world and within Lagos that are knowledgeable and experienced in health issues as it relates to Sickle cell, Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and cancer Furthermore, the second phase of the project involves working with kids in orphanages. Working together as international facilitators and going through trainings in health empowerment based NGO’s, Hospitals and orphanages in Lagos, the interns are required to work in ONLY phase. At the end of their training,, they shall impact their acquired skills and knowledge on students of the university by conducting a free medical check up session and seminar.
REQUIRED NUMBER OF INTERNS
A total of 15 interns from various regions of the world are required for the smooth run of PROJECT CARE with the health based NGOs. JOB DESCRIPTION • Provide supportive leadership to all NGO activities • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities for all health related events • Research and provide innovative approaches to all organisational goals • Liasing and negotiating with medical and non medical staff internally and with people in external organisations

ACCOMODATION
In AIESEC LAGOS our accommodation entails living in our Intern House which goes for a sum of 50 dollars. TRANSPORTATION TO WORK AND FEEDING
Interns are to cater for their transportation and feeding, changes in relation to this would be at the free will of the organisation

Living Lagos!!!!!! ď‚— As part of our intern development process, we
understand that often times some of EPS might find it hard to blend into the real world’s competitive nature, but this is no problem, as members of our local Committee would be fully involved in developing the interns with classes in one of the following: English, crafts and life skills, depending on the intern’s interest.
