The XFashion Project:
A fashion, art and culture based initiative designed by AIESEC Lagos that looks at bringing interns from various regions of the world with basic knowledge about fashion merchandising. Working together as international facilitators in enhancing the appreciation of the Nigerian culture. This project centers on showcasing diverse African cultures and lifestyles to the world by getting the interns to work with fashion, local art and dance houses. On their 5th week, an exhibition /global village would be organized for display of all cultures and everything learnt and done. Almost all jobs now require some basic understanding and know how of a different skill as such, We would provide a platform for our international facilitators to mingle with Nigerians to discuss and address employability problems as it relates to the ever growing fashion world. As part of our intern development process, we understand that often times some of EPS might find it hard to blend into the real world’s competitive nature, but this is no problem, as members of our local Committee would be fully involved in developing the interns with classes in one of the following: English, crafts and life skills, depending on the intern’s interest.
