Nature Camps

Sprouts Camp (3 weeks)

Ages 2-3 w/Parent

Our Sprout series is a wonderful way to encourage your tiny camper to explore nature with you! Fun activities will have you and your child outside exploring, creating simple crafts, and listening to stories all based on that week’s theme. Adults must accompany their child but do not need to register.

• Puddle Stompers

Splish splash your way through some watery fun as we craft, play games, and explore the wet world around us. Dress to get wet and messy!

• A is for Animal

Work your way through the alphabet discovering some of nature’s most amazing creatures! We’ll work our way from A-Z on a word walk-about to search for.

• Muddy Buddies

Get ready to dig in dirt, sift through the soil, and uncover the hidden world found underneath our feet! Dress to get messy!

Lil Acorns (4 weeks)

Ages 3-4

This camp series is great for your preschooler to help reinforce concepts they may have started learning while challenging them with fun and engaging topics. The day will be packed with plenty of outside time for your campers, including hiking, games, hands-on exploration, and more, all based on that week’s theme. All campers are required to bring a refillable water bottle. There is no snack break during these camps.

• I Spy

I Spy with my two eyes something that is... Awesome! Our little slice of nature here is filled with life that you may not notices. We’ll go on investigations to search for the big and small, smooth and rough, and soft and bumpy in nature. Get all your senses ready for this camp as we explore, play games, listen to stories, and of course, have fun!

• Doodle Bugs

Have your crafty child join in on the fun as we let nature and its inhabitants inspire our creations! We’ll learn about some wild animals that make their own incredible pieces of art and see how our own creations compare. Dress to get messy as we will be using different styles of art!

• Backyard Adventures

Squirrels, birds, insects, and more! Our backyards are home to many critters big and small. Each day campers will play games, go on investigation hikes, make crafts, and hear stories about some local critters and why them might just make the perfect neighbor!

• Insect Safari

Grab your safari hat and head out on a hunt to find some mini beasts with 6 legs, 3 body parts, and compound eyes! We’ll get up close and personal with Red Oak’s own resident arthropods to figure out just what makes these critters so special. This safari will take us outside into the forest in search of the “Big 6”: ants, spiders, butterflies, worms, beetles, and rollie-polies. Will we be able to find them all?
