Welcome back! We are so excited that we are back this autumn to bring you live events with your favourite authors and illustrators. We’re looking forward to celebrating books together with all of you again. The Bath Children’s Literature Festival is truly the place where books and stories come alive. We will be delving into discussions about protecting the planet, bringing history to life, learning about the power of music, honing writing skills with workshops from local authors, and getting tips and tricks from Bath Rugby players. You can expect stories about Frankenstein’s monsters, ghost hunters, kung fu bunnies, daring dragons, burpee bears, superheroes and Supertatoes! You’ll find something for everyone with storytelling for toddlers, family quizzes and drawing and writing workshops. Come and enjoy authors and illustrators including Liz Pichon, Nadia Shireen, Cressida Cowell, Joe Wicks, Adam Kay, Rob Biddulph, Kristina Stephenson, Dapo Adeola, Sue Hendra & Paul Linnet, Chris Mould, Dr Mya-Rose Craig, Caroline O’Donoghue, Chae Strathie and more! And there are plenty of free fun activities in the city between events, including a Character Treasure Trail in partnership with Bath BID, a book corner in the Forum Coffee House, a Bath Discovery Trail App from BRLSI as well as fossil investigator drop-in sessions on Saturday 2 October. As well as live events, our incredible digital programme for schools and home-schooled families will be launching during festival week and on demand until the end of 2021. Find out more at readingismagicfestival.com We hope you are as excited as us. Turn the next page to see our events diary before heading to the website for more details about the wonderful events coming to Bath! See you at the festival!
