Fasten your seatbelts and let us launch you into the stratosphere for some of the most exhilarating orchestral music ever written. Our annual concert dedicated to the memory of Brian and Margaret Roper encourages future generations to develop their love of classical music. This year global superstar Esther Yoo will perform one of the fastest and most fantastical violin concertos in the world. Partnering a symphonic-sized Bath Philharmonia is a choir of over 100 young people opening up their own worlds through song. To complete the evening, we present the theme tune to the BBC’s The Apprentice and the rhythmic vitality and epic power of Stravinsky’s suite from The Firebird Suite – one of the most thrilling of all ballet scores.

ABOUT SCHOOLS’ VOICES
Bath Festivals’ Schools’ Voices began in 2022 as a project to bring the community together through song and develop young people’s creative expression. Working in partnership with Bath Philharmonia and local secondary schools, we enable young people to collaborate with each other to write a set of four songs. The Schools’ Voices choir will perform their songs to open the festival at Party in the City and as part of the Concert for the People of Bath.
