Draw a plan of your space. Try to free up and open out the floor lines. Glass shower screens or shower enclosures with wall mounted modular units and sanitaryware will create the feeling of more space and a larger room. Aqata’s Spectra frameless glass creates a luxury wet room style space whilst providing an effective barrier.

If floor space is limited inward opening or sliding doors maximise the available workable floor space. Choose a screen or door style to suit your space.

Storage is essential in any bathroom. An organised space has a calming influence, try to incorporate plenty of storage space and use it imaginatively to create a feeling of luxury.

Use natural light to its full advantage and position bright task lighting above the shower and vanity areas combined with soft mood lighting in key areas. Reflective surfaces such as glass shower enclosures and large mirrors will bounce the light around the room.

Every Aqata Shower Enclosure is made to order, designed and hand built in the UK. 1

Measure and draw up your floor plan. Draw up a floorplan and position your key requirements. Our specialist bathroom retailers can draw up a plan and provide a realistic visual for you.

Measure your showering area. Measure and estimate the available showering space and the shower enclosure size, this should be in the middle of our adjustment tolerances, which are designed to compensate for out of true walls, especially important for a recess option. If your tiles are very thick or alternatively if your tiles or shower walling do not sit on top of the tray, this will affect the size/width of the enclosure and the adjustment available.

Select a style or enclosure type. Decide on your style and choose a shower enclosure range to suit your space and your lifestyle.

Select a door option and door handing. Choose a door option to maximise useable space. See page 8 Choose left, right hand or central opening door options. Consider which handing will best suit your space.

In-house glass etching is available and ClearShield Eco-SystemTM easy clean glass. The Spectra frameless glass range also utilises the latest advances in waterproof bonding. The unique system was developed by Aqata’s design team to facilitate Spectra’s easy installation, as large panels can be easily transported and assembled on site. Spectra has built in wall adjustment for out of true walls, and is created from the finest materials using 8mm thick glass with polished edges toughened to EN12150-1. Quality fittings are used throughout the range with solid corner brackets, hinges and substantial handles in beautiful polished chrome. Please note steady bars can vary depending on the size and configuration of the enclosure. The Spectra sliding doors incorporate stylish chrome and polished stainless steel accents and continuous clear seals for watertight showering. Prices and quotations For a quotation please ask your retailer to send a drawing of your requirements. All specials are priced on application and start from as little as 15% surcharge depending on configuration. Should we decide that a design is unsuitable, we will suggest an alternative solution where possible. Our quotations are based on your specification and accurate measurements (after allowing for installation of the shower tray and tiling). Survey & installation service Aqata offers an optional bespoke site survey and installation service. Following the initial quotation provided from your drawing, an experienced Aqata engineer will visit your property taking precise measurements to confirm the exact specification. Angled panels and doors Angled hinged and pivot doors, inline panels and side screens are the perfect bespoke solution for making the best use of awkward spaces such as sloping ceilings in loft conversions.

Made to measure Aqataâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s made to measure shower screens and shower enclosures can turn problem spaces into design solutions. You can customise our standard ranges to design your ideal showering space. The bespoke Spectra SP475 shown above right incorporates a reduced height side panel and a notched inline panel. You could also incorporate a built in shower seat as shown on the following page.

Reduced height side panels The Spectra SP458 bespoke (featured right) has a reduced height side screen and a notched inline panel fitted onto a built in shower seat. Reduced height side panels are available on Exclusive Solutions and Spectra ranges. We recommend that the dwarf wall is constructed next to the shower tray and then tiled on the inside to meet the top of the tray and form a watertight seal. All measurements must be taken after tiling and from the top of the shower tray. Dwarf wall side panels can also be angled if required.

Furniture panels Furniture Panels are available within our Exclusive Solutions range to suit many different applications and overcome the need to construct stud walls. Aqata have developed a special H section profile which is positioned to correspond with the fitted furniture height. The furniture will butt up to the centre of this profile giving a perfect seal. The top section is glass, and the lower section can be manufactured in a variety of standard options including white polypropylene and all over etched glass. Non standard options can also be manufactured.

Glass Protection System New ClearShield ECO-SYSTEM is available on all Aqata enclosures, doors and screens. This unique product is applied to the inside of the glass and works just like ‘non-stick’ cookware, acting as a protective barrier on the surface of the glass. ClearShield ECO-SYSTEM protection for glass provides a surface that: Resists staining from hard water deposits Saves time and effort and is easier to clean Keeps your shower looking like new for longer Eco friendly for a more hygienic environment Does not support the growth of bacteria Unprotected glass can quickly and easily suffer permanent bonding of limescale / mineral salts onto its surface causing staining and physical damage. Water spots become very difficult, if not impossible to remove despite regular cleaning. As a result, the appearance and hygienic environment of the shower are spoiled. Water softners can diminish the effectiveness of ClearShield. Cheaper brands of water softners do not remove salt. Glass should be squeegeed down and dried with a soft micro cloth after every use. The surface of award winning ClearShield glass is chemically nonreactive and ‘non-stick’. New ClearShield ECO-SYSTEM bonds permanently to the glass and as a multi stranded polymeric resin, it is stronger and more durable than silicon based easy clean systems. Limescale and other dirt will build up only half as fast, and will not bond to the glass. Cleaning is now a very simple task.

Aftercare for ClearShield glass Harsh and abrasive cleaning materials can be harmful to you and to the environment. Specialist After-Care for shower glass has been developed to gain the maximum performance from ClearShield glass. It is a very effective cleaner and disinfectant with a special ClearShield enhancer and can be used on the glass, framework and shower tray. Using this unique after care product in a simple and regular manner, you will find that it enhances the benefits of having ClearShield on your shower, keeping your enclosure looking like new for longer. Please ask our sales department for more details. ClearShield ‘Non-Stick’ glass is used in a wide range of domestic, commercial, industrial and marine applications and does not degrade. It has received major awards and recognition because of its outstanding performance, even in the harshest environments.

Care programme

Clean after every use with warm soapy water or mild detergent and wipe dry with a soft cloth, never use gritty or abrasive cleaner. Limescale or fine scratches can be removed by the light use of T-Cut Original applied with a damp cloth and then polished off. Easy access waste trap should be removed and cleaned weekly, ensuring any debris is cleared.

Aqata’s Screens and Shower Enclosures are designed for a lifetime of luxury showering and with a little care and attention you can keep your enclosure looking like new. Aqata strongly recommend that the glass and the framework are wiped down after every use with a squeegee and dried with a soft cloth.

Top tips • Squeegee and remove any water on the glass, frame and fittings after each use • Do not allow limescale to build up on the enclosure • Polish the glass and framework with Aqata Cleaner once a week • Do not leave neat cleaning products on the surfaces • Do not use any “spray on and leave” cleaning products • Ensure any non Aqata cleansers are non-abrasive and between pH 4 & 8 • Do not use any cleaning products outside the recommended pH values • To remove limescale a solution of 50:50 white vinegar and water can be used • Ensure vinegar solution is rinsed thoroughly and polished off with a dry cloth

Glass cleaner Aqata Glass Cleaner has been specially designed for use on the glass, framework and shower trays and should be used at least once a week for maximum effect. Aqata Glass Cleaner has the added value of being environmentally friendly. This product should only be used on standard glass and not on ClearShield glass. Code

Safe Family Showering Aqataâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s twin and triple concealed Linneal shower valves are WRAS TMV2/TMV3 approved providing safe showering to protect your family, minimising the risk of accidental scalding. The governments Water Regulations Advisory Scheme recommend the use of thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) and our showers meet those standards, with pre-set temperatures maintained even if the water pressure drops. The TMV2/TMV3 valve is compatible with all types of plumbing systems Identify your system, fully pumped, gravity fed, unvented high pressure or fully modulated combi boilers

The unique cartridge design enters a new generation of thermostatic valve technology and is WRAS approved to TMV2/TMV3 recommended standards for anti scalding protection. Factored at 38°C to 44°C for safe showering temperatures our thermostatically controlled shower valves have no need for the red button system.

GRAVITY SUPPLIES 1,000mm min head

• Precise flow control • Precise thermostatic control to +/- 1°C even when there is a change in water pressure • To prevent scalding the valves have full thermal protection for either hot or cold water shut off. Automatic shutdown within 1.5 seconds if hot or cold water supplies fail • The valve cartridge is highly resistant to limescale/calcium build up even in hard water areas • Unique integral waterway construction with innovative reverse flow adaptability • Ceramic disc cartridge on/off control • Suitable for use with all systems, gravity fed, pumped, unvented high pressure or fully modulated combi boilers • Complete brass body valve with front access shut off valves for easy maintenance • Thermostatic concealed shower valve • Polished chrome control knobs and valve plate • The valve can deliver 8.8 litres per minute at 0.1 Bar Pressure and operate to a maximum pressure of 5 Bar. Linneal Designer Showers The Linneal collection of thermostatic showers are designed for safe luxurious showering, combining performance, durability and sleek contemporary styling with a wide range of options to choose from. Linneal showers are precision engineered using the highest quality materials and finished in beautiful polished chrome. Anti-scale shower heads, handsets and body jets are incorprated for easy maintenance and our multi-spray handsets offer a choice of showering patterns. The Linneal shower pole has a built in diverter to switch between the shower head and the handset and an adjustable riser to position the handset, which is attached to a flexible hose. Wth an assortment of options to choose from you can select your shower head, shower arm, handset, body jets and control valve to create your individual desgner shower pole. Linneal shower screen braces are also available for Spectra and Minimalist screens to integrate the shower pole with the screen. See LNB200 series on page 171. Wall mounted shower heads and slide rail kits also offer the same flexibility of choice. There is no need to compromise, if you don’t see your ideal shower combination illustrated choose your preferred option.

Shower tray heights can vary due to manufacturing tolerances of ± 5mm. The description chrome and gold when referring to Aqata shower enclosures applies to surface finishes only. Returns Policy Because of the bespoke nature of Aqata products a re-stocking charge plus carriage charge will apply on all returned items. We will not re-stock any specials, etched or ClearShield glass orders, or products over 3 months old. Damaged goods will not be credited.

Usage

Acknowledgements

Watertightness is a key consideration when choosing your shower enclosure. If you require complete water retention especially when using power showers and body jets choose from our framed enclosures or the Spectra Sliding Door Collection. Install your enclosure in a well ventilated area as steam and condensing vapour can result in mineral deposits/build up. Please note that with shower screens and walk in enclosures water spray may extend beyond the length of the glass panel, dependent upon the power of the shower and its position. Please ensure a suitable waterproof and sealed floor finish is used outside the showering area.
