Director’s Biography With a background in contemporary dance and physical theatre alongside a specialism in Shakespeare, Fi works as a performer, writer and director. (Everyman Cheltenham, Salisbury Playhouse, Oxford Playhouse, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, Theatre Royal Bath, Oxford Stage Co, ACT, Shakespeare’s Globe). She has led on British Council tours of Shakespeare in Europe and the Far East which has given her a deep understanding of the importance of relationships between theatre makers and the community and the need for cross-cultural projects. Fi works as a freelance Associate Artist and Practitioner with the RSC directing and leading on projects nationally and internationally, recently directing residencies in New York and Bangkok. She directed A Leaf in Every Word in the main house at the RSC last year as part of a festival of work. She was also co-director on Macbeth and a promenade/site specific production of Julius Caesar. In 2020 her production of On Air toured around the Southwest and in 2022 she received Arts Council funding to write and develop a new piece, Walking the Line. Fi also works as a movement director and choreographer creating immersive theatre pieces work – (The National Trust – Born to Be Ghosts), and creates performance work for Literature and Music Festivals in the UK. Previously Fi directed and performed with the Arts council funded theatre company TILT, touring new writing and classical work in the UK and in Europe with a focus on women in performance.

Synopsis Written by William Shakespeare - Abridged A tangled love story of deceit, ambition, and orchestrated happy endings for some.Helena, a doctor’s daughter, cures the mortally ill King of France and earns the right to marry the man of her choice. The unwilling bridegroom chooses war over married life. In pursuit of her new husband, Helena disguises herself and follows him to Italy to win his love.

Previous theatre credits while training include: Hedda Gabler in Hedda Gabler, Tess in The Last Noel and Regan in King Lear. Abigael has also narrated the award-winning script Two Minutes for the IMDb Script to Screen Awards and is now excited to be working on The Chipping Norton Incident for SparkFest 2024!

ALEX DUQUE - LORD DUMAIN / LEPAGE / PRIEST Previous theatre credits while training include: Earl of Gloucester in King Lear, Trofimov in The Cherry Orchard, Ejlert Lovborg in Hedda Gabler and directed the devised piece Welcome to Dingleville. He has also played Luis Santiago in an inspiration of Jean Paul Sarte’s No Exit in a radio drama.

ANNABELLE BRIDGEN - REYNALDA / THE WIDOW Originating from Staffordshire, Annabelle is in her last year of training. Previous theatre credits include Oswald in King Lear, Scare actor in ScreamFest, Mrs Linde in A Dolls House and Amelia in an upcoming short film in SparkFest - Call Time with Thomas Baxter. Other roles include Bugsy in Bugsy Malone and Dodger in Oliver!

CALLEN WILSON °˜KING OF FRANCE / SOLDIER 2 / GRIVET

Spotlight to be found via instagram: @callen_wilson_ Callen is currently a self-representing actor originally from Yorkshire, in his final year of training at Bath Spa University. He has a variety of credits including the Earl of Gloucester in King Lear, the short film One Really Long Day and has also appeared in the IMDB Script to Screen Awards as a narrator. Callen recently featured in the critically acclaimed Netflix show Sex Education. He is currently working on a show for SparkFest in May/June 2024.


CAOILFHINN MCLOUGHLIN - HELENA Caoilfhinn is a Northern Irish actor in her last year of training. Some credits include the Fool in King Lear, Hedda in Hedda Gabler and Megan in an edited audio drama of Broken Biscuits by Tom Wells. She also played Nan in the award-winning, Two Minutes at the IMDb Script to Screen awards, and has recently played Freya in Dinner Served Cold, a short film directed by FTV students.

CARWYN PEAKE - JONES / PAROLLES Spotlight to be found via Instagram @carwynpeakejones Carwyn is a self-represented Welsh actor in his final year of training in Bath. He has a variety of credits to his name, including The Earl of Gloucester in King Lear, a roof-top performer at Boomtown, and Mr Claus in Tomfoolery, the debut show by his co-founded theatre company, Lunacy Theatre. Carwyn recently picked up a credit for playing Ben in an edited audio drama of Broken Biscuits by Tom Wells and is currently working on a piece with Lunacy Theatre for SparkFest 2024, centred around Euripides' Cyclops.

ISAAC YEOMAN -˜BERTRAM ˜ Previous theatre credits while training include: Edmund in King Lear, Konstantin in The Seagull, and the Elf in The Night Before Christmas. Isaac also co-wrote the short play Welcome to Dingleville, in which he starred as The Sheriff. Alongside this, he has played Ivan in a version of Tom Basden’s The Crocodile in a radio drama.

RHYDIAN KEOGH -˜LORD DUMAIN Previous theatre credits while training include: The King of France in King Lear, Mario in Holes, and Mr. Llywyllyn and Darren in an audio drama re-imagination of Tom Basde’s, The Crocodile. Rhydian is currently working on a piece for SparkFest 2024.


RUAIRI HAMILTON REED -˜LE FEU / OFFERLE ˜ Ruairi is a self-represented aspiring actor currently in his final year of training in Bath. He has a variety of credits while training including Edmund in King Lear, Mike in The Last Noel, and recently voiced Zack in an edited audio drama of The Crocodile. He has performed as Stanley in An Uphill Struggle for the IMDb Script to Screen Awards and performed at the Queen’s Hall Theatre as Sir Charles and Sir Henry Baskerville in their comedy The Hound of the Baskervilles and stared as Edmund Blackadder in their stage show Blackadder III. He is currently working with a group of actors on a show for SparkFest

TESS FLETCHER - COUNTESS OF ROUSSILLON / DOCTOR ˜˜ Tess is a British-Irish actor-singer, writer and director whose credits include the titular role in King Lear and soprano vocals in the UK premiere of Bob Christianson's, A Christmas Carol: The Concert. She wrote and directed musical spoof The Tragedy of Maccy B, and The Chipping Norton Incident which debuts in SparkFest 2024. Her poem Crab Rave was long listed in the SaveAs International Writing Competition 2021 and she is currently co-writing a feature film backed by the Frankfurt film fund.

Production Team Biographies LIV LUCKEY /°SET DESIGNER Liv is a Third-year student on the Theatre, Festival and Event Production course. All’s Well That Ends Well (2024) is her set design debut. Her previous credits include; Costume Supervisor for Pool (No Water) (2023), Props Assistant for The Glove Thief (2023), Props Assistant for Corner Shop Goblin (2023) and Costume Assistant for Habeas Corpus (2023). Her other work includes; Wardrobe Maintenance and Dresser on Peter Pan Goes Wrong in Bath. Also completing placement on Macbeth at Shakespeare's Globe. LEANNE STRUTTON˜˜°LIGHTING DESIGNER Leanne is a Third-year student on the Theatre, Festival and Event Production course, specialising in Sound and Lighting. This is Leanne’s first Lighting Designer role and she has enjoyed the experience. Her previous credits include Sound Designer Pool (No Water) (2023), Sound Designer on Third Space (2023), Assistant Electrician on The Glove Thief (2023), and Sound Assistant on The Cornershop Goblin (2023). RYAN MCHUGH /°SOUND DESIGNER Ryan is a Third-year student who specialises in lighting and sound. This is his first Sound designer role for a theatre production. His previous credits for university productions include Lighting Operator on Habeas Corpus (2023), Production Electrician on The Corner Shop Goblin (2023) and Sound Operator on Christmas at Newton Park (2022). Ryan is currently undertaking work placement as a Lighting Technician / Sound Technician at Bristol’s nightclub, Motion. He aspires to become a Sound Designer/Operator after university.

CORA MATTHEWS / COSTUME DESIGNER Cora is a third-year student on the Theatre, Festival and Event Production specialising in set and costume. This is her first Costume Design role and she is very excited to design for a Shakespeare play. Her previous credits include: Set Designer on Pool (No water) (2023), costume assistant on The Glove Thief (2023), Head of Scenic Art on Habeas Corpus (2023) and Assistant Scenic Artist on Christmas at Newton Park (2022), all with Bath Spa Productions.


DAISY BRADLEY /°DEPUTY PRODUCTION MANAGER Daisy is a Third-year student on the Theatre, Festival and Event Production course, specialising in Stage Management, Lighting and Production Management. She is excited to take on her first Deputy Production Manager role. Her previous credits include; Deputy Stage Manager for Kirstie Davis's Pool (No Water) 2023, Assistant Stage Manager for Ed Viney’s The Glove Thief (2023), Assistant Electrician & Lighting Programmer for Emma Williams’ The Corner Shop Goblin (2023), and Assistant Stage Manager for Jenny Davies’ Christmas At Newton Park (2022). ELLE CLARKE / STAGE MANAGER Elle is a Third-year undergraduate, studying Theatre, Festival and Event Production, and specialising in Production and Stage Management. Elle’s previous credits with Bath Spa Productions include: Deputy Production Manager on Pool (No Water) (2023), Assistant Production Manager on The Glove Thief (2023), Assistant Stage Manager on The Corner Shop Goblin (2023) and Assistant Stage Manager on Christmas at Newton Park (2022). LILY JACK / DEPUTY STAGE MANAGER Lily is a Third-year student on the Theatre, Festival and Event Production course, specialising in Stage Management and Scenography. She is excited to take on her first Deputy Stage Manager role. Her previous credits include; Assistant Stage Manager for Third Space (2023), Assistant Prop Maker for Emma Williams’ The Corner Shop Goblin (2023), and Construction Assistant for Feargus Dunlop’s Habeas Corpus (2023). Her future work can be found on Instagram @lilyt_ech. CAMERON CALVER / PRODUCTION ELECTRICIAN Cam is a Second-year student starting to get into the professional backstage industry. He is focusing on lighting and stagecraft as specialties. This is his first attempt at the Production Electrician role, and he hopes to give it his best shot! Outside of the course, his experiences include Assistant director on Start Swimming (2023), Puppeteer on Little Shop of Horrors (2022) and is currently directing the upcoming Jekyll and Hyde for university theatre society. His work can be found on Instagram @c.calver_productions. JAMES ALLKINS /°ASSISTANT ELECTRICIAN & PROGRAMMER James is a Third-year student who specialises in lighting and sound. This is his first lighting programmer role for a theatre production. His previous credits for university productions include Sound Operator on Habeas Corpus (2023), Production Electrician on The Glove Thief (2023) and Video Designer on Third Space (2023). James is currently undertaking work placement as a lighting technician with the local venue, Komedia. He aspires to become a lighting designer/programmer after university.


CHRISTABEL REVELL / SENIOR COSTUME MAKER Christabel is a Third-year Theatre, Festival, and Event student, specialising in Costume Design and Make. This is her first experience being the Senior Maker for a production. Her previous credits include Assistant Scenic Art on Christmas at Newton Park (2023), Head of Scenic Art on Habeus Corpus (2023) and Costume Assistant on The Cornershop Goblin (2023).

JOSH PURDIE /°PRODUCTION CARPENTER Josh is aThird-year student specialising in Scenic Carpentry and Lighting. This is Josh’s first Production Carpenter role and he has enjoyed the challenge to lead the build and design the structural elements of the complex shapes and features of the set. Previously, Josh was a Carpentry Assistant for The Glove Thief (2023) and was able to use his experience to inform a lot of his work throughout the build process for All’s Well that Ends Well (2024). JESS MILLER /°HEAD OF SCENIC ART Jess is a Third-year student, specialising in Scenic Art and Props. She is very excited to take on her first Head of Scenic Art role. Her previous Bath Spa credits include; Chief Prop Maker on Pool (No Water) (2023), Assistant Scenic Artist on The Cornershop Goblin (2023) and Assistant Stage Manager on The Glove Thief (2023). As well as this, she has assisted with puppetry and props for Arabian Nights and Bath Carnival. Her work can be found on Instagram @jessmillerprops.

FUCHSIA OADES /°CHIEF PROP MAKER Fuchsia is in her Third-year at Bath Spa University studying Theatre Festival and Event Production, specialising in Costume and Props. She is very excited to take on the responsibility of Chief Prop Maker for this production, with previous experience as Props Assistant on both The Glove Thief (2023) and Habeas Corpus, as well as Costume Assistant on The Cornershop Goblin (2023). In addition, she has worked on Cinderella in Boots at Chickenshed Theatre and Hansel and Gretel at Shakespeare's Globe, London. She hopes you enjoy the show!
