A FULLY-FUNDED QUALIFICATION

Early Years Teachers can add real value to your organisation by sharing leadership skills and expertise with the rest of the team. Their understanding of how young children develop, communicate and learn enables them to make a lasting, positive impact on children’s progress and outcomes.

We encourage our trainees to think critically about research, national initiatives and classroom practice, placing them at the forefront of early learning and teaching.

Early Years Teachers forge positive relationships with parents and carers, and can take on more responsibility, as the ratio of children they can monitor increases to 1:13.

On completion of the Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) with PGCE, they’ll also gain Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).

FULLY-FUNDED

Funding of up to £14,000* is available:

• Up to £7,000 to cover course fees of your staff member

• Up to £7,000 of funding for you to put towards supply cover, salary enhancement and other associated costs.

*More info and eligibility on funding: https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk

Transition To Qts

Using our Assessment Only Route to QTS, Early Years Teachers with the appropriate range of experience can undertake a short 12 week assessment period against the Teachers’ Standards. This enables them to be recommended for Qualified Teacher Status and therefore qualified to teach across the 3-16 age range in any school.

Course Structure

The employment-based route of this course runs for ten months on a part-time basis. Trainees will be required to engage with university training every Friday.
