HISTORY

Hands on Bath Spa’s History

Delve into the history of Bath Spa and use primary sources from our archive to create a day in the life of a 1950s student at Newton Park. What classes will they have? What will they get up to in their free time? Will they be back in time for curfew? I guess we’ll find out!

The Trial of Citizen Louis Capet

In early December 1792, King Louis XVI faced trial in the National Convention on charges of high treason and other crimes. You will act as members of this assembly who will hear the evidence presented against Louis and his defence. You will deliver your verdict and decide upon his punishment, should you find him guilty.
