KirstiehasworkedatmanytheatresaroundthecountryincludingtheLyric HammersmithTheatre,SalisburyPlayhouseandEverymanTheatre, Cheltenham.ForsixyearsshewastheAssociateDirectorandthenActing ArtisticDirectorofWatfordPalaceTheatrewhereshedirectedacclaimed productionsofTopGirls,TheDaughter-in-lawandTheBeautyQueenof Leenane.ShewasCEOandArtisticDirectorofForestForgefrom2009to 2016whereshecommissionedanddirectedover20newplays,which included:FreeFolkbyGaryOwen,thefirstadaptationsofTheWolvesof WilloughbyChaseandStardustbyRussTunneyandWomanofFlowersby KaiteO’Reilly.
Recentprojectsinclude:KissmeQuickstepbyAmandaWhittingtonat QueensTheatre,Hornchurch,DaddyLongLegsbyPaulGordonandJohn CairdandTheGirlontheTrainbyRachelWagstaffandDuncanAbelatThe BarnTheatre,LadiesThatBusandthesequelLadiesThatDigbyJoyce Branagh,bothofwhichwentonnationaltours;RobinHoodandAlicein WonderlandbyAndrewPollardatTheDukesTheatre,Lancaster,arevivalof TheWolvesofWilloughbyChase,TheMassiveTragedyofMadameBovary byJohnNicholsonandTom’sMidnightGardenbyDavidWoodatTheMinack Theatre,TheBearWhoWenttoWarbyAlanPollockatTheAlbany,Coventry. TheMassiveTragedyofMadameBovaryisatSouthwarkPlayhousethis Christmas.ThisisherfifthproductionforBathSpaProductions.
TheGutGirlsbySarahDanielsisafictionalre-tellingofatrueevent:the DuchessofAlbanyattheturnofthelastcenturyturnedtheyoungwomen whoworkedintheCattleMarketintodomesticservants.Thisplayexplores howthateventunderminedanentirecommunityandstoletheirfreedom. Weseethewomenasindependent(theyhavetheirownmoney),and despitethedifficultworkingconditions,havebondedandsharetheirlove ofthemusichallandflamboyanthats!Eachonehastheirstory-resultingin verydifferentexperiences.Amongstthewomenarethemenwhoboth loveandloathethem,whobullyandareintimidatedbythem.Thecasthave hadafantasticchallengeofhavingtomultirole-someplayingboththe workingandupperclassesofthepiece.It’sanepicplayfullofhumourand dramaandithasbeenajoytodirectsomethingthatfeelsstillsorelevantin itsportrayalofthechoice’swomenhavetomake.Asoneofthecharacters says:“So,youjustgoingtositthereandletithappenagain,then?”

HebegandirectingtheatreinhishometownofSheffieldstartingwith celebratedproductionsofJean-PaulSartre’sNoExitandPatrickMarber’s CloserforDayOneTheatreCompany.Lauriethenco-foundedHeyUp TheatreCompany,whosefirstproduction,MeBrotherDan,basedonthe awardwinningpoembyMollyMeleady-Hanleyopenedtosoldoutaudiences attheCrucibleTheatreStudio.OtherproductionsforHeyUpincludedonemanshowSantalandDiaries,inwhichhealsostarred,andatriumphantnew imaginingofCharlesDickens’AChristmasCarol.
LaurieiscurrentlystudyingforaMastersDegreeatBathSpaUniversity alongsideworkasanactingteacherandfacilitatorforBristolOldVic, StagecoachandSpeechandDramaAcademy.

EloisetrainedatPerformancePreparationAcademyontheActingforStage andScreencourse.Sincegraduating,shehasworkedbothonstageandon screenprofessionally.Eloiseisalsoasinging/voicetutor.
Duringlockdown,Eloisedirected/producedanonlinecabaretforRicNic Oxford.ShewasalsoafoundingmemberofVIVICA,aGuildfordbasedtheatre companythatperformedtheirdebutplayHostattheGuildfordFringeFestival in2022.Withinthatcompany,shewascreativedirectorandamemberofthe cast.
