This duet looks into the connection between two people joined as one, before being split in half to create humans as we know them today.

Serendipity

/ˌsɛrənˈdɪpɪti/ noun

An exploration of relationships between dance and music. However the twist in this choreography is that the music set list is chosen at the time of the performance and is unknown to the performers. How do the dancers respond and what is the impact to the choreography? Watch the answers unfold in real time in this serendipitous dance performance.

4PM | LA VIE

Choreographed and performed by Harrison Yafai.

You are invited to enjoy LA VIE. An avant-garde exploration of the eclectic bohemian life, essence and experience. The bohemian life was that of many facets, many rebelling for many reasons. Some stuck in a place of dissatisfaction unable to move forwards, some are wrapped in a world of love and loss, and some trying to live longer than their time. But all desirous for a different way of living. This piece has questions answered and others left open, so just allow bohemian ‘freedom’ to catch you and set you free.

Dioscuri is part of a wider project exploring somatic approaches to the creation of live dance work. A workshop will take place prior to this performance, providing insight into the methods and approaches of this project. If you wish to attend this workshop please contact louis.green20@bathspa.ac.uk.
