The most important consideration is to choose an age-range or subject that you are passionate about. You owe it to the children and yourself. Gain experience in different schools and settings to help you decide.

EARLY YEARS INITIAL TEACHER TRAINING

• Qualifies you to teach babies and children from birth to five years old

• Graduate entry (employment-based) route – 12 months part-time

• Fully funded course fees and employer incentive of £7000 to cover staffing expenses

• Upon completion you will have Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) with PGCE Early Years

BATH SPA PGCE WITH QTS or EYTS

• Postgraduate Certificate In Education –including 60 Master’s credits

• Training through the partnership – schools, settings and university working together – two thirds of the programme is school based

BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS 23/24

Bursaries:

● £27,000 in Chemistry, Computing, Mathematics and Physics

● £25,000 in Geography and Languages (including ancient languages)

● £20,000 in Biology and Design and Technology

● £15,000 in English

Applicants may be eligible for a bursary if they have a 1st, 2:1, 2:2, PhD or Master’s qualification.

Scholarships:

● £29,000 in Chemistry, Computing, Mathematics and Physics

● £27,000 in French, German and Spanish (no other languages)
