Have you done your Christmas baking yet? If you missed the bake sales at the Zion Lutheran Church and Third Avenue Church last weekend, you still have a chance to let someone else do your baking this year. Stop by the Christmas bake sale put on by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Ladies starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at the Co-op Mall. You will not only find baked goodies, you will also find perogies, cabbage rolls, borscht and kolach (braided bread.) More baking! The Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada, North Battleford Branch will have baking plus cabbage rolls and perogies for sale at the Co-op Mall Saturday, Dec. 14 starting at 9:30 a.m. Better get there early! Sunday, Dec. 15, you will find more baking for sale at Harwood Manor. But that’s not all. It’s the day the manor hosts a Holiday Champagne Brunch. There will be two seatings for the brunch, one at 11:30 a.m. and another at 12:30 p.m. There will also be a bake sale and silent auction table as well as Christmas gifts and crafts. Tuesday, Dec. 10 the Battlefords Ministerial Association Carol Festival in support of the Empty Stocking fund will be held at Third Avenue United Church at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Hillcrest Singers will entertain at the North Battleford Library at 2 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments will follow the program. The Gallery Singers, along with the Battlefords Junior Choir , the Battlefords Preparatory Choir and Kamala youth Choir will present Wintersong at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts Sunday, Dec. 15. There will be two shows, one at 3 p.m. and another at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Dekker Centre box office. There will also be an afternoon of Christmas music at Sandwith Hall, featuring local talent. Things get underway at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome and there is no admission fee, although there will be a collection taken for the Battlefords Empty Stocking fund.
