On May the 26th, in Frigiliana, our village, we are vo ng to move forward for an UNSTOPPABLE FUTURE and the welfare of our neighbors is at stake .

First of all, I would to thank everyone for the support received during these last four years and especially for the sugges ons, ideas and encouragement that you have transmi ed over the past 26 months of Government.

I would also like to thank the team that has accompanied me, for the enthusiasm and hard work over these two years of Government.

My main priority when I started as Mayor was employment and tourism. The magniďŹ cent tourist promo on carried out has increased quality tourism, crea ng more employment and more commercial ac vity and having obtained a record growth in tourism, catering and holiday rentals in Frigiliana.

The improvements we have made in the infrastructures, both in the countryside and in the town, have also been a priority issue in our management, as well as in the economic management that we have carried out.

We present you our achievements memory which we have fouďŹ lled over the last two years in government, as well as our Electoral Program. We want to con nue with the projects that we started and con nue with all the new ones we wish to accomplish. We want to carry on with a government based on honesty, transparency and a job well done.

Our proposal for Frigiliana is based on a group of men and women who only have one purpose: to make Frigiliana a peaceful and prosperous village.

We ask for your vote to make a be er Frigiliana, a Frigiliana for everyone. In short, an UNSTOPPABLE FRIGILIANA.

Propuestas Electorales 1. Employment and business trade - Development of an industrial estate - Increase the Town Hall´s consignment directed to the temporary employment of unemployed people, doubling the current possibilities of obtaining a job.

- Continue with the transparent, just and equally conditioned work bank for all the local people which is publicated on the web and the notice board.

- Promote orientation and job recycling courses f r o m c o m p e t e n t a g e n c i e s .

- Support the integration of people with disabilities by establishing a 10%quota of employees with disabilities.

- Inform and process aids from any public organizations (junta de AndalucĂ­a, Diputacion o Ministerio) for local businesses in coordination with the CADE

- Prioritize, in a transparent and fair way, opportunities for local businesses, professionals and local companies in the acquisition of goods, services, materials and equipment.

- Continue to reduce the local taxes.

- Primary support from the Town Hall to all initiatives which involve creating jobs and wealth in our village - Encourage craft production in the town supporting those artisans and the Frigiliana industry.

- Reduce the road occupancy tax in the less touristic areas of Frigiliana.

- Accelerate the payment to companies which supply to the Town Hall.

2. Tourism - Make agreements to include the natural park of Sierra Almijara in Frigiliana's touristic offer, including repairing roads, viewpoints, signposts and tracks. Also arranging active tourist plans.

- Continue to promote the Three Cultures Festival, recovering its original essence and innovating it with new shows and exhibitions.

- Promote the local gastronomy as another tourist attraction.

- Value our local prize of beautification which was the first one to be obtained in Spain and

Andalucia, likewise the prize of accessibility Reina Sofia and empower participation in the network of beautiful villages.

- In cooperation with the Junta de Andalucia, develop projects for the tourism exploitation of rural dwellings for rural tourism.

- Editions of tourist brochures in languages of emerging tourist groups.

- Continue with the promotion of our tourist resources ( houses for rural tourism, hotels, restaurants, etc) for diffusion in the tourist office and in fairs of the sector.

- Develop the tourism quality plan, drawn up in this legislature.

- Continue publications of Town Halls finances - The Town Hall will be strict with the fulfillment of

4. Culture, Festivals and Popular Traditions - Promote our fiestas and popular traditions as a touristic attraction and identity of Frigiliana.

- Revive the May Crosses festival involving all residents and associations.

- Maintain our promotion of the San Antonio's festival where all the villagers meet, recovering its village fair character.

- Rigorous control of the expenses and incomes originated from the festive celebrations - Continue supporting the brotherhoods in Frigiliana's Easter celebrations, as tradition and as a motor of economic activity.

- E x e c u t e t h e collaboration agreement "Cuevas de Nerja" and the Frigiliana Archaeological museum.

- Increase the Frigiliana Patrimony.

- Continue to expand the exhibition room in the Town hall.

- Support the music band school - Enforce the spring festival

5. Environment - Organize meetings, workshops and competitions (concerts, painting, sculpture ...) where the main feature is Frigiliana.

- Create a rehearsal room and support our local artists and groups.

- Continue supporting the choirs and dance groups, providing them with the necessary incentives. Value the choirs and children's dances festival.

- Consolidate the theater contest and continue to support the Art route and its organization.

- Negotiate with all parties involved the urgent cleaning and re-forestation of the mountains, so it is a source of JOB creation.

- Create a network of purified waters, for use in parks and gardens, as well as in the new irrigation areas.

- Create a nature center of interpretation, raising environmental awareness, knowledge and enjoyment of the Natural Park.

- Repair roads and create municipal areas for the enjoyment of our Natural Park environment, by

promoting with the aim of creating EMPLOYMENT. - Make re-forestation and environmental education-awareness campaigns in all sectors of the population.

- Continue installing led lights in the new part of the village controlling the expenses and light pollution.

- Manage Spanish lesions for non-Spanish residents from the Town hall.

- Make all citizens of Frigiliana feel part of the same future, reargless of their place of birth.

7. Health and Welfare - Undergrounding of the bin containers.

- Continue actions to dismantle the mobile telephone antenna from the nursery.

6. Residents

- Extend medical care hours, negociate with the SAS a daily paediatrician service and extend nursing hours.

- Strengthen our RESIDENTS OFFICE with human and material resources.

- Expand services for family planning and care for the disabled.

- All the information affecting the foreign residents will be published in Spanish, English and German (official forms, general information, website ...)

- Improve the equipment in the medical center with a waiting area for our children.

- Promote the municipal associationsm.

- Carry out nutrition education for all age groups ( healthy diet, allergies, diabetes etc with edition of a recipe book.

(change bath for shower, clamping barriers, access ramps etc) - Create a new social activity center for the elderly in the new part of the village, with sanitary services, podiatry and nursing that functions as a day center.

- Increase the economic amount that the Town hall offers to the elderly.

- Have interpreters in different languages with resident volunteers.

- Help with the requests for the Disability Law application.

- Create access to the Botanical Garden from the Pensioners social center.

- Create a bio-healthy park for adult with gymnastics machines.

- Improve accessibility in all public buildings.

Remove architectural barriers.

- Help people and families with alcohol and drug problems.

- Give priority attention to the victims of gender violence.

- Days for patients and family members with senile dementia, Alzheimer's etc

8. Our seniors - The town hall will participate to the costs of home adaptions for over 65´s and for the disabled

- Increase activities (writing workshops, reading, popular songs, sewing, dancing, cooking, diets, computer, library...).

- Promote physical activity and healthy habits among our elders.

- Hire an instructor-coordinator for activities and administration of the Pensioners' social center,

at direct service of the Pensioners' social center board and pensioners.

- Organize a day of "elders teachings" so the new generations don't forget the experiences and teachings of our elders.

- Promote outings and meetings that will be entirely funded by the Town Hall.

9. Infrastructure and Urbanism - Rainwater channeling throughout the old village.

- Mechanized access to Calle Real and the upper village - Continue with the plan to repair the roads and tracks - 25 auto promotion homes for the younger generations - Create parking in the botanic gardens - Create parking in the Santo Cristo area - Construction of a viewpoint in the Callejon Del Agua area.

- Construction of a viewpoint in the Monte Ariza area.

- Pave and upgrade the roads and squares in the new part of the village, maintaining the traditional stone pavement.

- Building of the second phase of the resting home - Improve access to the upper part of the old village and include parking

- Correct maintenance of the Frigiliana –Torrox road.

- Installation of sun blinds in commercial areas of the village and in the church square during the summer period.

- Creation of a fair ground and recreation area.

- Energy saving scheme to save electricity in public buildings and roads - Creation of new round-abouts on the FrigilianaNerja road in the Cortijo San Rafael area.

- Expand heavy vehicle parking areas - Promote the viability and construction of the existing urban areas making the necessary modifications - Adopt a comprehensive urban planning plan in line with the real needs of the people and their environment.

- Encourage housing adaption for the elderly and persons with reduced mobility.

- Upgrade the local traffic signs - Municipalize the bin service - Implementation of the enlargement of the school.

- Regularize and provide municipal services in those areas of the countryside in already consolidated urbanistic densities.

- Continue legalizing the campo buildings through DAFO as well as reactivating he licenses for "Aperos" of upto 40m2

- Integral cabling underground plan

- Develop action projects in coordination with the Junta de AndalucĂ­a for the tourism exploitation of rural dwellings for rural tourism.

- Acquire the area of PeĂąon de la Sabina for touristic use.

- Continue with the expansion plan in Cortijo San Rafael to the adjacent lands

- Create resident parking areas

- Continue to stone pave the old village

10. Sports - Our goal is to promote sports and physical activity among all groups and ages in our town.

- Continue the expansion of sport activities and disciplines that can be practiced ( rhythmic gym, volleyball, claiming, cross fit etc ) - Continue supporting women's sports.

- Promote sports among the elderly with fun activities - Extend the sports facilities (mini multi-sports areas in the AndalucĂ­a park) - Take advantage of the opportunities offered by our Natural Park as a means of active and healthy leisure

- Increase financial support for our sports clubs ( the Madrid club, the Malaga club or the Barcelona club) - Financial and material support to the local sportspeople who standout in any category.

- Organize popular and family sport activities: urban races, popular games, pedal day etc - Increase economic help and sports material to teams and sports people belonging to a Federation like karate, football or the chess group.

11. Youth - Create a LOCAL YOUTH CENTRE which facilitates co-ordination, advise and courses as well as leisure and free time activities.

- Encourage the creation of associations for different ages and interests.

- Implement a new basketball campus closer and cheaper for the children.

- Continue with the football 7 and swimming campus

- Conduct workshops and courses aimed at the younger generation.

- Create scholarships for young people who exceed in any field. And especially, establish an

economic grant for those who study at University.

- Facilitate access to practice in local companies and in the Town Hall to young people who have completed a training course to facilitate access to EMPLOYMENT.

- Agree with the Guardia Civil an increase of the work force and patrol areas as well as reactivate the opening hours to the public.

- Create a municipal vehicles pound.

- Provide the civil protection with equipment, vehicles and units that allows rapid and effective actions.

- Promote first aid courses among the population.

- Concerts and leisure activites fo the younger generations

12. Public safety and civil protection - Build a new police station, appropriate to the importance of their duties.

- Consolidate and expand the local police force.

- Keep the Constable position with the recognition of their safety functions.

- Consolidate and activate the local board of public safety.

- Have safety sessions and safety drills.Consolidar y activar la Junta Local de Seguridad Ciudadana.

- Hacer jornadas y simulacros de seguridad.

13. Associations and social movements - Offer temporary courses: fabric painting, tile design, photography, sewing, gardening and first aid.

- Continue the synergy of the municipal association and promote the development of groups and participants in village activities.

- Implement the enlargement of the school on the basis of the technical reports already drawn up - Economical help for the parents association.

- Promote first aid training for students in schools.

- Municipal grants for University, Ciclos Formativos (professional formation) and Bachillerato (sixth form) students. Create an Excellence grant for the best academic records.

- Meetings with different provincial associations.

- Upgrade the association's installations - Support the various associations from the municipality with grants.

- Continue the economical help from the Town hall towards costumes of cultural groups (dance, choir, music) - Agree with regional disabled associations to include Frigiliana in the area of services and activities (Amivel, Taller de la amistad ...).

14. Education - Cheque-book towards costs of school books for the children - Create a leisure center in non-school hours (municipal play area).

- Continue to change the lighting (to led) for energetic savings

- Air conditioning of the school: installation of air conditioning units in all the class rooms - Improve the installations in the adult's school.

- Expand irrigation areas.

- Improvement, maintenance and concreting of country lanes.

- Upgrade and extend the nursery services.

- Supporting local farmers in co-operative projects for commercialization and modernization of infrastructure.

15. Agriculture and livestock

- Promote the marketing and manufacturing of local products, (avocado, mango, loquat, honey, beer, wine, etc.) promoting them.

- Support and inform the farmers about subsidies and aids as well as facilitate bureaucratic tasks with the Administration.

- Collaborate with the irrigation community in the maintenance and conservation of the facilities, compensating when using their facilities and water rights - Reactivate the Agriculture Department.

- Carry out agricultural and livestock training courses (pruning, felling, fumigating, phytosanitary) - Carry out the necessary steps to support the initiatives of ecological agriculture and livestock.
