Integrated hybrid systems with inverter air to water monobloc heat pump
Integrated hybrid systems Baxi, since long market leader in heating and home comfort systems, has widened its offer proposing integrated hybrid systems which combine heating technologies and energy sources to provide energy efficient complete integrated systems. Baxi’s proposal of integrated hybrid systems is now enhanced by new solutions to grant high energy efficiency and low pollutant emissions compared to the best solutions present on the market (with comparable performances). The new system Luna Platinum CSI-i has been developed to integrate various technologies (solar system, water/air heat pump, gas condensing boiler) with water production for heating, DHW and cooling during the summer.
Why choosing an integrated hybrid system? 1. maximum efficiency in primary energy (lower consumption and lower pollutant emissions)
4. lower aesthetic impact and lower noise: the external unit of the heat pump has been sized according to base loads (single fan model).
2. maximum energy cost savings: the integrated system works with renewable energies (solar, outside air)
5. installation flexibility: two sizes (6-10 kW) of heat pumps and highest modulation rate (3,3 - 33 kW) for condensing boiler, to meet all installation needs in new and existing buildings. Moreover, the system can be installed even though it is not possible to have the solar collectors on the roof (existing buildings).
3. maximum comfort always granted: in case of unfavourable outside weather conditions, the condensing gas boiler works when the renewable energies do not supply the heat demanded. The maximum comfort (DHW production, heating and cooling) is always ensured throughout the year and in the most efficient way.

Total reliability of the system: integration of technologies One of the key point of the CSI-i system is the total reliability which guarantees hot water supply for heating and DHW. A continuous service is ensured thanks to the three different energy sources the CSI-i system counts on (solar, electric with inverter monobloc heat pump and gas with condensing boiler), even if one of the technologies doesn’t work properly. In case of failure of the heat pump, the CSI-i system can count on the supply of solar energy integrated with the condensing boiler. In case of lack of gas to supply the boiler (or in case of failure), the system makes use of the heat pump to produce hot water up to 60°C.
