WELCOME YEAR OF THE GOAT

In keeping with tradition, the Chinese community heralded the Year of the Goat with prayers, firecrackers, lion dance performances and family gatherings in celebration of the Lunar New Year. Chinese temples throughout the country were the focus of attention as worshippers flocked to offer prayers for an auspicious year ahead. Astrologers predict that the Year of the Goat, the eighth of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals, will be a more docile year compared with the Year of the Horse last year.
