Dear Reader: JetBlue and PBS KIDS are proud to partner on our Soar with Reading – Let Your Imagination Take Flight project. Our partnership was created out of a shared mission – to help raise readers. With JetBlue’s commitment to the cities we serve, and PBS KIDS’ engaging award-winning content, we believe we can make an impact and enrich the lives of our children. With the help of Hooper the PBS KIDS star, we’ve created a bevy of resources for you to take advantage of at SoarWithReading.com. You’ll find lots of fun things to do, including tools to help you track your child’s reading minutes over the summer or map the places your child has visited both physically and imaginatively. There’s also a feature where you can upload photos of your child with Hooper and create a postcard that you can print or send to friends and families so you all can share your child’s reading adventures. As Hooper would say, “check it out!” Through our campaign, we’re also promoting the use of one of our nation’s greatest resources – our public libraries. We’ll be hosting fun reading events featuring PBS KIDS characters, authors and JetBlue crewmembers at local libraries throughout the summer. You can find the event nearest you at SoarWithReading.com. While you’re there, please enter for your chance to WIN a JetBlue Getaways Family Vacation to Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas valued at $5,000 and nominate your favorite library for their chance to WIN $10,000 worth of books from our friends at Random House Children’s Books.* We know that children who read achieve greater success in school and life. Reading stimulates a child’s imagination and helps kids learn about people and places from other parts of the world. Perhaps Dr. Seuss said it best: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Please visit SoarWithReading.com for more information on our project, and let your child’s imagination take flight! Sincerely,
Dave Barger President & Chief Executive Officer JetBlue Airways * See back of book for more details.
