The San Francisco Bay 'six-pack' charter fleet can offer all of that — and without the stress of boat ownership, maintenance, and post-cruise cleanup. Licensed by the Coast Guard, these boats are perfect for small groups looking to get out on the water, and allow you to be as hands-on (or -off) as you like. Hone your skills at the helm, trim the sails, or kick back with a cocktail and watch the Cityfront unfurl. As we write, these boats are sheltering in place just like the rest of us, but also just as eager as we are to cast off the docklines again. We spoke to Lauren Eisele, operator of the Hunter 44 Whimsea, who said she had to cancel scheduled charters for April and May but is now booking dates for June.
