TIRAMIC BEARING TECHNOLOGY
With the new TFT bearing, Token has taken its popular TBT bearing and made several improvements for an even smoother experience. Sure, ceramic is great – it’s extremely hard, lightweight and precise, but it also has limitations in real world conditions. So, the ABEC 5 rated TFT bearing uses a stainless steel race with precision engineered stainless steel balls. It then includes one slightly smaller silicon nitride ceramic ball (to crush any dirt or grit that makes its way inside) for the best of both worlds. The bearing seal has been extensively redesigned, and it now has an extremely small contact area with the inner race. This was achieved by sandwiching a 0.5mm phosphide-coated K5 stainless steel strip inside the rubber seal. Less contact=less friction=a faster, more comfortable ride. The ball cage is made of heat stabilized nylon and Token uses top quality Klüber lubricants to keep things rolling along effortlessly from -40°C to 130°C. We believe that with the TFT we have found an excellent balance of strength, weight and smoothness.
TBT is the name we have given to our special ceramic bearings because they are different than “standard” ceramic bearings. The ball bearings in our TBT bearings are ceramic so they are very, very round and very hard. They won’t deform and suffer an increase in surface area under the weight of a rider, which usually leads to more resistance and slows you down. The one problem with ceramic balls is they are very hard and easily damage standard races made of stainless or normal steel. Without a specially designed race, in a short time you’ll end up with a lot more friction than a standard set of sealed bearings. To fix the problem of soft races, we coat our steel races in titanium nitride. The titanium nitride coating serves two functions – it protects the races from corrosion from the balls themselves. Titanium nitride is very hard so the ceramic balls don’t damage the races as easily as non-treated races. In addition, the coating protects the steel from corrosion so TBT bearings can be used yearround without any worries. When compared with standard bearings, TBT bearings are lighter and have less friction so if you are looking for an edge, these are the bearings you want.

ANTI VIBRATION TECHNOLOGY
AVT is a technologically advanced material similar to Kevlar. When this material is combined with our carbon wheels, the result is a super high tensile strength wheel which significantly reduces vibration. Compared with other manufacturers’ systems of impact damping-for example, stitched threads of Kevlar on the outer edge of the rim- TOKEN’s AVT layer provides greater overall wheel impact resistance. This is achieved by using a special resin that bonds the AVT material inside the carbon. A crash test used to assess the behaviour of bicycle wheels under impact conditions (take a wheel and hit it both head-on and at 45° with a 100kg trolley) shows the significant difference that AVT can make to the structural integrity of the wheel. 6
To keep bearings running for a long time, it needs to have good seals to keep moisture and dirt out. Water and dirt destroy bearings in a very short time. It’s easy to use a thick seal to keep elements out but this causes a lot of friction, which saps energy and makes you slower.
X-SEAL
X-Seal technology is a patented seal made of rubber-coated steel. This allows us to make the seals more precisely, with a more precise shape, so we don’t need to have as much contact between the seal and the bearing. This leads to less friction without sacrificing any of its ability to protect the bearings. You’ll get bearings that last longer, run smoother and waste less of your energy.
Stainless Premium Bearings are found only in our headsets. They are finished to the same high standard as our Premium Bearings, but the balls are made of stainless steel so they won’t rust even in the worst conditions.

FUSION
TOKEN’s Fusion bottom brackets are made with fibre-coated aluminium shells that precisely press into your frame. The fibre protects the frame from damage and makes the bottom bracket noise-free. It also allows the bottom bracket to be fit in frames that are slightly out of tolerance, without damaging the frame, crankset or bearings. We use alumimium to support the bearings so they resist side-to-side movement and last longer. When the unique Fusion construction of the shell is matched with our bearings, it provides an incredibly durable and very smooth bottom bracket.
Y-CUT AXLE
Tg-eXtreme
When your goal is to make the best products you need to pay attention to the smallest of details and our Y-Cut skewers exemplify this. On our Y-Cut skewers we mill out a small portion of the titanium axle so it resembles a “Y” in order to save weight. It saves about 6 grams per set and the skewer still passes all the clamping tests. In fact, our titanium Y-Cut skewers can clamp with as much force as our standard stainless steel skewers. It’s just one more example of the craftsmanship found in all our products.
TgX = Tg-eXtreme. Tg (glass transition) is the temperature at which the epoxy used to treat carbon rims begins to deteriorate. When the epoxy reaches Tg the outward pressure of the tire and tube can cause the rim’s sidewall to deform, potentially resulting in failure. We construct our rims with a high Tg epoxy to withstand the extreme temperatures created during braking. Coupled with our specially designed carbon rim brake pads, the temperatures from braking dissipate more quickly so you descend faster without fear of overheating your rims. There aren’t many things cyclists like more than descending faster.
There are a lot of advantages to running tubeless tyres including a more comfortable ride, better traction and fewer flats. To make it easy for you, our Tubeless Ready wheels come with airtight rim tape installed and the required valve. Simply mount your tubeless tyre, add sealant, inflate then enjoy the ride!

WEAPONS GRADE MACHINING

All of our rims that are 25c or wider are called Swiftedge; there are several advantages to using rims this wide. Wide rims allow you to run tyres wider than standard 23c models, without worrying about having the tyre roll off the rim. A wider rim changes the shape of the tyre when it is inflated, allowing it to be better supported. The improved shape of the tyre allows for lower rolling resistance with greater grip and comfort. Another advantage is the smoother transition between the tyre and rim, which provides an aerodynamic benefit. Any small weight gain is more than outweighed by increased speed and comfort. The Swiftedge rim gives you a little edge that you’ll appreciate when you’re on the rivet.
The military uses 5-axis CNC machining because they need to have very precise parts to make sure missiles land in the right place. We also use 5-axis machining, though our high-end hubs aren’t equipped with missiles. We use this kind of CNC machine because it allows us to build hubs very precisely; this means they are stronger, lighter and more durable than standard CNC machined hubs.
DIAMETRIC SPOKE PATTERN
There are a couple of different stresses and demands on a rear wheel that make it very difficult to build a great one. The wheel has to resist bumps and flex from a rider’s pedalling, while staying light and aerodynamic. The Diametric Spoke Pattern of the spoke lacing is best able to handle the different stresses that are placed on a rear wheel. The Diametric Spoke Pattern consists of a radially laced spoke on the non-drive side, which is then centred between two, triple-crossed spokes on the drive side. This method of lacing is very strong and highly resistant to rider induced flex. The wheel is very stiff and responsive so it can respond to accelerations very well. Because of the inherent strength of this lacing, it allows the wheel to be built with fewer spokes without sacrificing strength. One of the other major advantages of this lacing pattern is that the spokes on the drive and non-drive side are more evenly tensioned. This allows the wheel to be built so it is very durable. It took a lot of research and testing to perfect the Diametric Spoke Pattern but it’s worth it because it yields a high quality wheel.
UCI APPROVED
There are an almost endless number of rules regarding equipment for use in UCI sanctioned road races. If your local race doesn’t require you to follow UCI rules regarding equipment then feel free to use any wheel you want. However, if the race requires that your bike be UCI legal then you can use any of our wheels that have been tested and approved by the UCI. Just look for the UCI Approved logos that appear on the pages to know which wheels conform to the rules.

Some people like to go fast all the time and for you, there’s the MTX line. We design these parts to be light so you can climb hills faster but tough enough to take the abuse that a hardtail bike with 100mm of front travel dishes out when screaming down a rock and root covered ribbon of singletrack. These components aren’t meant to be used to bomb down the trails at your local DH course but they will make you happy if you want your bike to be light and responsive.

MOUNTAIN
The weekday grind can wear a person down but there is an antidote: quit your job and live like a hermit. If that’s not practical then you can always get away to where the hermits live, deep in the mountains. To get there and back in time for work then you’ll need something that can take the punishment from several hours on the bike over less than smooth terrain, whether it’s a nasty piece of singletrack or a horribly rutted fire road. The Vigilante components aren’t as light as the MTX parts but they are designed to be ridden hard both going up and down.

C28 The C28 is an incredibly light carbon wheelset that feels right at home when the roads aren’t flat. Since these have clincher rims, you will be just as fast on training rides as you will when you’re racing.

FULL DESCRIPTION Some days you get on the bike and you feel like a million dollars. Hills seem flat and riding buddies can’t keep up. Now we can’t guarantee that the C28 wheels will make you feel like this, but they can help make you a whole lot faster. The best feature of these wheels is certainly their weight, but that’s only the beginning of what makes these a great set of wheels. Sure, they weigh a hair over 1300 grams (!) but this is useless if you can’t get your power to the ground. The rear wheel is laced using our Diametric Spoke Pattern that maximises power transfer and keeps the wheel tough enough to handle bad roads, without kidney destroying harshness. With all this goodness packed into the rim, hubs and spokes, it would be foolish to not pay special attention to the bearings. FULL DESCRIPTION There are few things that feel nicer than riding a set of incredibly light wheels (well, maybe some other things which are not suitable for print.......) Riding a set of T28 wheels that weigh less than 1200 grams, you’re sure to get that ‘magical’ feeling. You’ll immediately notice how quickly these wheels spin up out of a corner in your local weekday crit or as you grind up that hill that usually makes you cry for your mother. Whatever kind of riding you are doing, these wheelsets are sure to impress. These wheels are built around our TFT bearings and precisely CNC machined Arsenal hubs. The bearings are some of the smoothest you can find, which saves you a little bit of energy, and you’ll find yourself saying, “Man, this feels nice!” The Arsenal hubs are small and light but are large enough to remain stiff so your power isn’t lost to flex. FULL DESCRIPTION The C50 is the close cousin of our T55 and that’s a good thing. The C50 has a very similar shape and height to the T55 so it shares many of the same characteristics that make the T55 such a fantastic wheelset. The big advantage is that they are clinchers meaning that changing tubes and tyres is easier and you’ll only need one set of wheels for both training and racing. At 50 mm deep, this wheel is tall enough to give you a big aerodynamic boost over standard wheels, but short enough to keep the weight low so you can climb like you’re running a set of low-profile alloy wheels. The 50 mm height won’t pose a problem when winds kick up because the shape of these wheels keep you stable in crosswinds. To keep your speed up when climbing, we use our minimalist Arsenal hub to further reduce the overall weight. These hubs aren’t all about weight savings though as they were specifically designed to accommodate our Diametric Spoke Pattern that increases stiffness and durability. FULL DESCRIPTION The T55 is TOKEN’s best selling carbon fibre wheelset and it’s easy to see why because of the amazing balance of aerodynamics, weight and stiffness. We put this wheel into a wind tunnel and stacked it against some of the best-known wheels on the market. Overall, it ranked among the best we tested. It’s no surprise, really, because from the start we built this wheelset with aerodynamics as the most important consideration. Thanks to its shape and low weight the T55 excels in all kinds of conditions, from windy and flat to hills and winding roads. The rim shape and width makes it very fast in straight lines, but when the wind comes from the side, you won’t be fighting for control, even if you’re using these wheels on a time trial or triathlon bike. These wheels aren’t limited to races against the clock - they are just as fast on climbs and under power. To help cut the weight and make climbing easier, we build the T55 around our super light Arsenal hubset using Sapim CX-RAY spokes using the Diametric Spoke Pattern. FULL DESCRIPTION Speed shouldn’t be only reserved for those who can afford a set of racing wheels and a set of training wheels. The C590 combines the speed of a deep carbon wheel with the everyday usability of a clincher wheel. But don’t misunderstand us – there’s no compromises being made here. We’ve paired a 50mm deep front wheel with a 90mm rear so you can slice through the air. We could have gone with an even deeper front wheel but it’s like trying to fly a kite in a thunderstorm; it’s fun for a bit, but it’s probably not going to end well. We built these wheels with highly regarded Sapim CX-RAY spokes. Known to be strong, stiff and able to reduce road buzz you’ll appreciate the advantages from the moment you throw your leg over the bike to last few metres of your ride. In order to increase stiffness and durability we use a Diametric Spoke Pattern on the rear wheel which pairs two spokes on the drive side with a single spoke on the non-drive side. The spokes are laced to our low profile Arsenal hubset. This hubset is small in size so there is less drag and less weight. At just a touch over 1700 grams, this certainly isn’t a climbing wheel but it’s light enough that you can keep up your speed on rolling courses. And to keep you rolling fast with little effort, we use our highest quality bearings we like to call TFT. These bearings have noticeably less friction than other bearings, but they are equipped with high quality seals to keep out water. These wheels can take abuse from Monday to Friday but when it comes to race day, they can also carry you to victory. They are ideal for training and competing in triathlon or time trial races.

FULL DESCRIPTION As a general rule, the deeper the wheel, the more aerodynamic it is and the faster it makes you. This is the deepest set of spoked wheels we make. Up front you’ll find a 55 mm deep rim and bringing up the rear, a very deep 90 mm, making these one of the fastest wheelsets we make. If you fight your bike for control, of course, you’ll never go fast and that’s why the front and rear wheels are different depths. A 90 mm deep wheel in front can be difficult to handle when winds kick up and you’re on your aero bars, so we pair the rear with a lower profile wheel in the front. This also knocks off some weight so this wheelset can be used even when the course is rolling. To compliment the aerodynamics of the wheels, we use our Arsenal hubset, which is very small and makes the wheelset more aerodynamic so you can ride faster with less effort. These hubs come with our super smooth rolling TFT bearings to help you save a little bit more energy than standard bearings. We pair these rims and hubs with Sapim CX-RAY spokes that do a great job of reducing road buzz leaving you less fatigued. These wheels are made to help you ride faster than you thought you could. FULL DESCRIPTION There is no kind of wheel that is faster than a disc. Sure, when it’s windy it’s like having a sail attached to your bike. You can’t use them in road bike races and they don’t work very well on hills but when the course is flat and relatively calm then disc wheels are absolutely amazing at slicing through the wind. This wheelset is great when used on the track and it’s stiff enough to resist the power that comes from huge track-rider thighs. FULL DESCRIPTION The moment you roll off the start line with these wheels, you know you’re on a special set of wheels. You’ll never get tired of the distinctive sound that a deep rim paired with a disc wheel makes. It’s the sound of pure speed. Our 90mm deep front rim has been shape to ensure that it has very low drag. Its 25 mm width helps tyres to sit flush with the edges of the rim so your drag is reduced even further. When combined with the Arsenal hub and its small surface area you end up with a wheel that is very, very fast. Sure, a front disc would be even faster but you’ll very quickly be off the road and into the bushes with the first gust of wind that hits you. Fortunately the rear wheel on a bike can’t be steered so a disc is the logical choice for cutting drag to a minimum while still being able to control the bike. The disc is hand made to ensure that it’s of the highest quality and free from defects that might hinder your performance. This wheelset should only be used when you want to go faster than anyone on a time trial, track or triathlon bike. It’s best saved for calm days with few hills and when you really want to pummel the competition.

Full Description First, we put these wheels on a strict diet of shut up, listen and put down the sandwich! We trimmed the rims down to 22mm and managed to bring home a set of wheels that measure just 1300 grams on the scales! We won’t deny it…..there were some tears involved. It was quite an emotional experience….. You see, whenever you drop weight from a rim, you gain a disproportionate advantage because you are removing rotating weight where itcreates the biggest effects. With less mass to accelerate at the rim, the wheels spin up easier, which saves you energy. If you live in a place that is particularly windy you’ll also appreciate the low profile because it is almost unaffected by crosswinds. The C22A wheels maybe light, but they are also durable enough for everyday use.If you ride these wheels in wet and rainy conditions, you don’t need to worry about your braking performance suffering. Light wheels need light hubs and so we brought in our Arsenal hubs to do the job. The hubs got the shut up and listen diet treatment as well! We machined away all the excess material to drop the weight to only 288 grams per pair. The development team started to get all ‘mad scientist’ andwanted to go further with the machining to make them even lighter, but our pro test riders and ‘The Stache’ eventually had to step in and take away their toys for a while until they could behave. This is because at some point, with enough machining, you would end up with a ridiculously light hub, but it wouldn’t actually stand up to the abuse that pro riders put their gear through. Finally, the wheels are put together by hand using Pillar 1422 aero spokes and laced in a Diametric Pattern to the hubs. Overall, the C22A is an ideal wheelset for riders who are looking for a responsive wheelset that weighs almost as little as a carbon-rim wheelset, but at the same time they also want the braking performance and durability of aluminium. This wheelset will help you most when you’re climbing or when you want accelerate often. All this probably explains why this is far and away our best-selling wheelset.

FULL DESCRIPTION Sometimes you need to think a little differently and that’s what we did when we were designing the C45. Most designers only care about how aerodynamic a wheel is but we wanted something that did more than this. Sure, we wanted an aerodynamic wheel, but we also wanted a wheel that was stiff and strong enough to take on roads that aren’t as smooth as glass. This wheelset is ready to take on the racecourse, the gravel road and everything in between. At 45mm deep and 25mm wide, this wheel checks all the speed boxes. The height of the rim allows this wheel to slice through the air while the width gives you more room to run wider tyres making the ride more comfortable on rough roads. The shape of the rim also makes it very strong and extremely stiff so it is responsive under power from even the biggest riders. The Diametric Spoke Pattern helps to give the rim even more support and snappiness so when you’re out of the saddle and hammering, the C45 will stay stiff and propel you forward. FULL DESCRIPTION When designing the C45A, we wanted a wheel that had all the advantages of the C45 wheel, but was even tougher and more durable than its lighter (and naturally more expensive) full carbon fibre sibling. The two wheels use the same Hero hub that is well known to be tough, and builds up a stiff wheel. With tall, widely spaced flanges, we can make spoke tension more even which results in a stronger and more durable wheel. Although this wheel is tough, we also wanted to make it smooth and that’s why we use ceramic TBT bearings that provide a smooth-rolling ride. The titanium nitride races and ceramic bearings won’t rust, even when riding through salt and grit laden water. But don't try this yourself. The rim is where the C45 and the C45A stop being twins. The C45A uses a slightly narrower rim with a slightly different profile, and it has an alloy braking track. This makes it better suited for riders who often ride in wet conditions so they can take advantage of superior stopping performance when the rims are wet. The alloy braking surface also stands up well to the sandpaper-like effects of grit on rims. This wheelset can be used in a variety of conditions thanks to its 45mm rim height. You’ll get an aerodynamic benefit on flat roads, which makes you faster in training, road racing, triathlons or time trials. It isn’t as light as the C45 but you get a wheel that is more durable and ready to take on even tougher roads and challenges.

C28A The C28A is a very versatile wheelset that can be used for pretty much anything from training to racing. You could consider it the older, wiser and perhaps beefier brother of our C22A alloy wheelset.

FULL DESCRIPTION The C28A wheelset uses aero shaped 28mm deep alloy rims and the Hero hub to give it a balance of strength, aerodynamic properties, stiffness and moderate weight. We didn’t set out to make this wheel the lightest in our range; instead, this is a hand-built wheel that you can count on through any season, year after year. We started building this wheel at the hub, using our Hero hub which houses oversized ceramic TBT bearings. Even if you ride in wet conditions, you won’t need to worry about the bearings rusting, unlike ones made of steel. The Hero hub has taller flanges than our Arsenal hub that allows us to build a more durable and stiffer wheel because we can use shorter spokes that flex less than longer ones. We also use the Diametric Spoke Pattern to increase the strength and responsiveness of this wheelset. Once you get up to speed, you’ll appreciate the aero profile of the wheel that makes it easy to handle in crosswinds and will give you a little boost on the flats. With a wheel this responsive and tough, it is ideally suited for criterium, circuit and road races as well as on your usual training route. FULL DESCRIPTION The C55A wheelset is a great set of wheels for use in mixed conditions – be it a triathlon, road race or a ride on your favourite route. At 55 mm deep and with an aero profile these wheels will have you speeding along like a greased horse in a vacuum. The shape of the rims allows you to slice through the wind and when there is a crosswind the shape also keeps things stable. We have tuned these wheels absorb more road buzz resulting in a slightly more comfortable ride than straight up carbon wheels. This also means that you can ride longer and faster, while experiencing less fatigue. Sure, you won’t see a lot of pro riders using full carbon wheels, but there are a couple of very good reasons to use carbon-alloy wheels. The first is that in wet conditions, an alloy surface offers much better braking capability than a carbon rim. Second, alloy is much better at dissipating heat than carbon fibre so on very long descents you may risk overheating pure carbon rims. Alloy rims can handle the heat, regardless of the length of the descent. The C55A wheelset is a great choice for someone looking to upgrade to a faster set of wheels that can handle lots of different conditions and are durable enough to use every day. They also don’t want to pay a hefty price for gaining more speed.

FULL DESCRIPTION Featuring a tough alloy rim and a bombproof hub, the C28AD disc brake road wheels won’t have any trouble taking you where most road bikes fear to go. With 23mm wide rims, these wheels can handle tyres up to 40c wide so you will be able to ride with comfort and have a ton of grip on bad roads (or good roads, if you prefer). The wide tyres are less likely to get flats so you’ll be able to spend more time riding worry-free than fixing flat tyres. The rims are tough so rough roads and big riders aren’t a problem for these wheels. We use our Premium Bearings on these wheels so they will continue to roll smoothly even after they are ridden hard, day after day. All this toughness doesn’t, however, mean that these wheels are overweight. In fact, they weigh less than 1600 grams so they can climb well get up to speed quickly. To help them get up to speed, we use a 2 cross spoke lacing pattern. This pattern also helps them to resist the torsional flex caused by powerful disc brakes so the wheel doesn’t twist under heavy braking loads. We use Pillar 1423 spokes to build up the C28AD because they are renown for their toughness and ability keep wheels in true. FULL DESCRIPTION Our goal when we were designing the C18CR wheelset was to make it a cross-country weapon capable of high speeds, but able to suck up abuse from rocks and nasty roots poised to take you down. A carbon rim built with our AVT material makes the rim stronger and reduces trail buzz. That means you can ride harder, over worse terrain, for longer without getting tired. What’s not to like about that, right? When you have a rim this nice only the best spokes and hubs will suffice. We use Sapim CX-RAY spokes because they are light, strong and soak up even more trail buzz. The spokes are laced to our MTX hubs that have been battle tested by the most badass riders we can find. FULL DESCRIPTION One of the greatest feelings on a bike is being able to ride up a hill quickly, especially when you see your mates struggling away behind you. To make it up a hill faster, a light bike always helps and this is where the C18 wheelsets bring their game. We made these wheels as light as we could, without sacrificing durability because nobody wants to have to walk their bike back home. We started with an incredibly light rim that is tubeless ready so you can run the lightest tires on the market. With weight dropped from the rims, you’ll notice how snappy the acceleration is. To help keep the weight low, we laced these wheels with Sapim spokes. These spokes are able to absorb high-frequency vibrations (trail buzz) so you also get a more comfortable ride. But we used a standard 3-cross lacing pattern to ensure the wheels remain durable and are able to transmit power while minimising lateral flex. With an upgraded hub for 2016, this wheelset is able to take on the stresses that large cogs and 29er wheels place on hubs. These wheels aren’t for everyone but if you are after a set of super light wheels and don’t fancy the idea of shelling out carbon prices, these wheels are well worth a closer look and a test ride.

The rim is both tough and wide so your tires will have a better shape to them. The wider rim will allow the tires to grip better and provide better bump absorption. We start with a tough hub with a proven design that allows us to build a super strong wheel. And to make sure that the wheels keep spinning smoothly we use our precision ground Premium Bearings so that you can shoot through stream crossings, smash up trails and bomb down hills. Wheels aren’t made solely of hubs of course. We lace these wheels with spokes in a triple-cross pattern to prevent flex from pedalling and braking forces. This pattern also helps to make the wheels more compliant to bumps, making the ride more comfortable and giving you more control. Most importantly, this kind of lacing pattern helps to add strength to the wheel. To make this wheelset more appealing they come tubeless ready so you can run your favourite tyres as soon as you pull the wheelset from the box. The hubs are built to fit most modern frames and forks and also include quick release adapters so the V23 wheels can be used with pretty much any frame and fork. This wheelset will put a broad smile across your face even if you’ve been riding all day and every muscle in your body is completely shot. The V23 wheels won’t massage your legs, rub your shoulders or make you a post ride meal, but it will make you want to get up and do it all again the next day.

VIGILANTE SKEWErS Some riders like to have light parts on their bikes while others prefer something with maximum strength; the Vigilante falls on the latter end of the two choices. Originally, this skewer was only speccedout for mountain bikes, but we had all these roadies demanding they not be left out, and if there’s one thing we do know...... you don’t anger a roadie! To make it acceptably light for road riders we milled out the middle of the lever. But then the mountain bikers saw the new design and demanded it as well because it looks better. So…..we decided to make everyone happy and offer the same design across the board. The new lever design and axles will fit both road and mountain bikes and we finally got roadies and mountain bikers to agree on something! To help those with weak arms, but legs like horses (thinkroadies), this skewer uses an internal cam that allows for much higher clamping force meaning less effort is needed to close the lever when compared to a standard skewer. Vigilante skewers clamp the wheels into the frame for increased stiffness and security so those horse legs can power away without any issues of the wheels coming loose. After all this development we’ve been left with a skewer that is reasonably light but clamps very tightly.We hope this makes everyone happy because we’re frankly tired of the constant bickering.

SHArK TAIL SKEWErS TOKEN Shark Tail skewers are a great way to upgrade an often-overlooked part of your bike. They come in four colours that either blend in nicely or stand out and get noticed. So why did these little beauties win design awards? Well, the Shark Tail has a small lip on the edge of the lever. This lip gives your fingers a place to hook onto when loosening the lever to remove your wheel. When reinstalling thewheel, you can use the hook to spin the skewer round and tighten faster. When closing the lever, the flat shape makes it easier to get leverage and close the skewer tightly with less pressure on your hand. Pretty cool we thought. One of the less obvious features is the option to upgrade to a titanium Y-Cut axle. We milled out all the unwanted material to make it lighter, but the Y shape doesn’t compromise on strength. All these features make the Shark Tail perfect for both road and mountain bike applications.

Spacers are a necessary unless you’re a professional and slam your stem. Since you’re not, your spacers may as well look good and the 3D certainly do. To keep them light we use a plastic inner ring that is supported by a milled alloy outer ring.

Our Fusion bottom bracket packs a ton of technology into a small space to keep your cranks spinning smoothly. Our unique design combines the best elements of different materials for optimum performance. Alloy cups are ideal for supporting bearings because they don’t deform under pressure or when they become waterlogged. However, when they are pressed into a carbon fibre frame, they can cause damage or squeaking because they don’t mould easily with the frame. Plastic cups can mould more easily so they are ideal for use in frames that are not perfectly aligned (trust us… almost no frame is!) and one big advantage is that they don’t squeak. The downside is they can end up causing the bearings to be crushed. Nylon doesn’t swell like plastic does; however it cracks so it can’t be used on its own. This leaves us with a dilemma…..which material should we use? Instead of choosing one of these materials, we combine all of them into one bottom bracket.We use alloy to hold the bearings in place because that’s what alloy is good for. To keep the bottom bracket and frame quiet and creak-free, we house the alloy cups in a plastic and nylon shell. With the right mix of plastic and nylon, we are able to precisely manufacture these bottom brackets so they don’t deform over time or when they are wet. In addition, it allows the bottom bracket to accommodate frames that aren’t perfectly aligned. TOKEN! You have created a miracle! (actually no…. just smart engineering. But thanks for the props!) We didn’t just focus on the shell, however. Our bearings are precisely manufactured so they spin smoothly and to keep the elements away from them, we use our own unique seal. The seal is made of both rubber and alloy and provides double protection for the bearings. And to make sure that all this development and precision isn’t wasted, we hand assemble these bottom brackets so that only the best bottom brackets are shipped. Use the Fusion and all its technology and you won’t need to change your bottom bracket for a long while.

The standard version uses a cromo axle but if you are serious about weight savings, it is also available with a titanium axle. And for those who appreciate a very smooth bottom bracket, you can get this bottom bracket fitted with TOKEN ceramic TBT bearings. This bottom bracket comes in sizes to fit double and triple road bikes, as well as triple mountain bikes and is for use with Shimano compatible cranks.

There are two versions of the compatibility poster – one for bottom brackets and one for headsets. Both of these posters will make a mechanic’s job easier. When looking for which headset or bottom bracket to use, the mechanic simply has to pick the correct frame / fork or frame / crankset combination and the poster shows which headset or bottom bracket should be used. Along with the sizes and a technical drawing of the frame, the bottom bracket poster shows the measurements of the bottom bracket shell so there is less chance of confusion. Along with the measurements are pictures of bottom brackets, along with our product code so the mechanic knows which bottom bracket should be installed. The headset poster shows the frame and fork measurement as well as the SHIS codes to make it easy to determine which TOKEN headsets should be used. We also include a photo of each of the headsets and our product number. These posters make it easier for mechanics to do their jobs and it also makes it easier for them to order from a distributor. Both of the posters can be customised to include distributor company name and contact information.
