I am Proud Moments

The Bucks’ Land Management team for all of the amazing habitat management work that they along with their volunteer teams have helped deliver across the Bucks’ nature reserves over the winter.

Farah Ali for her outstanding contributions at The Lodge since joining Reception last September. She has settled into her role exceptionally well, providing a valuable and welcoming reception experience for visitors.

Her support for the Conscious Inclusion Forum, Recruitment, and the Facilities Team has been invaluable. Additionally, her regular reminders to use YuLife and its benefits to staff are greatly appreciated, and The Lodge Weekly Newsletter has been both highly informative and well received.

Thank you, Farah, for your dedication and hard work!

The Membership Team who collectively processed 315 promotional new members in January, well above our 240 target! Well done team!

Chloe Bradford and Kate Titford for the super new signage that they have helped to produce for the Upper Ray Meadows. They look amazing.

Beth Milner for winning 3rd place in the Mammal Photographer of the Year competition - her work will be displayed at their Annual Conference in Bangor on 28th March!

What an awesome team! Just a shout out to Miriam Murphy and Sally Smith, who have really helped go that extra mile in the last few weeks, digging us out of an usually busy workload.

Thank you so much!

Rob Cooke for your diligent work recording of the heathland restoration works carried out by staff, volunteers and the contractors at Snelsmore Common, and Ade Wallington for helping me pull together the information for the Countryside Stewardship capital claim.

Debbie, Lou R, Sam D and Arlo for piloting volunteer work experience placements this year to help inspire the next generation of ecologists and giving young people the opportunity to learn from BBOWT.

A big thank you to Debbie for also taking the time to create work experience templates which will be able to be adapted and used by teams across BBOWT in the future.

From: The Volunteering Team

The Conscious Inclusion Forum (CIF) for their continued championing of EEDIB across BBOWT.

Special mentions go out to Becky Downey, Charlie Pascoe, Logan Walker, and Farah Ali for their input into the CIF Connects, and the Neurodiversity and Mental Health Toolkits.

Their determination to deliver tools to educate us all should be applauded. Well done and thank you to each and every one of you.

Simon Allison, College Lake Assistant Warden, for completing his 6-month winter season with us at College Lake. You have been a huge asset to the team, and it has been lovely working with you. Your excellent tractoring skills and quick wit, will be missed!

Jason Sula from Finance Team thank you for being so efficient at helping the Windsor Great Park team with all things finance – especially when we have some complex and urgent requests!

Everyone who was part of the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications directorate for the last four years for creating such a great team and for your positive and optimistic approach to the changes we’ve just put in.

We now look forward to getting started with our newly formed Governance & Fundraising team!

Phil Bruss for taking the initiative to learn from other Trusts and for managing to deliver advice and proposed works across the Wallingford to Goring area.
