PermaCast Tapered Round Columns
Permacast columns are architecturally correct, and manufactured from polymer resin/glass fiber reinforcements. Caps and bases are polyurethane and are included with each column. For Roman Doric, Attic or ORNAMENTAL options see pages 10-11. Tuscan Cap/Base sets include PermaFlashing and installation hardware. Flashing is not available for alternate cap/ base styles. Install hardware (pg 5) sold separately for Cap/Base styles other than Tuscan.
Limited Lifetime Warranty: This warranty is for the benefit of the original homeowner who
purchased the Fiberglass product and is not transferable. HBG warrants that the Fiberglass Columns when properly installed, shall be free of manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials under conditions of normal use and service when properly installed. When installing a PermaCast column, insure
concentric loading of column. 100% of bottom must contact substrate and 75% of top must contact soffit. Do not paint with dark colors [Dark is L value of 56 to 0 where 100 is white and 0 is black] unless painted with heat reflecting paint. Installation or labor costs are excluded . Column Installation Kit: 17040 Includes brackets and hardware. Secures the top and bottom of the column. Bottom hardware is included with no-taper square and tapered round columns with Tuscan cap and base. List: $9.00
20"-30" Porch Installation Bracket: 17121: Includes 3 brackets and all required hardware. The bracket for 2030" diameter columns will secure a 2nd story porch to our PermaCast Column. Sold Separately List: $540.00
What You Need to Know
• Height listed is the column shaft height. • Cap and base slides over shaft. The shaft rests on the floor. When installing a column, ensure concentric loading of column. 100% of bottom must contact substrate and 75% of top must contact soffit • Permacast columns used exterior should not use dark colors unless using reflective paint. See page 4. • For transportation purposes, small sections of split columns are left partially intact. • 1/4 cut columns are available per quotation. • Pre-drill columns prior to installing screws • Automotive body filler works great for minor repairs • When attaching hand rails and brackets, holes must be pre-drilled • Use a screw with a wide thread pattern, i.e. deck screw, concrete screw or hollow wall anchor. 800-362-9138 : www.bbwood.com : 9E

Painting Instructions for round and square PermaCast columns: • Rinse • Prime with top quality exterior latex primer, or use an oil-based primer in accordance with paint manufacture instructions. A light coat of primer should be applied and allowed to cure fully. • Paint evenly with serval light coats over column with a high quality exterior latex or oil base (if prime is used) in accordance with paint manufacture instructions. Capitals are weatherproof, insect proof & maintenance-free. Capitals are load bearing for 8"-12" diameters. Larger sizes include a load bearing plug. Capitals will lengthen or shorten the overall height of the column depending on the height of the capital. The dimension (+/-1/4") listed in the table below assumes the use of a Tuscan cap & base. Other caps & bases will alter the dimension. Ornamental capitals are not designed for no-taper columns. If ordering for no-taper, order a neck mould & note that HBG does not provide the proper plug and the warranty is void.
