ALUMNUS PILLAR OF THE COMMUNITY AWARD

It is with great honor that we present the "Alumnus Pillar of the Community" award to Dr. Gregory Larrieux, a distinguished general surgeon serving in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After graduating from Broward College, Dr. Larrieux went on to earn his degree from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. He has dedicated over a decade to providing exceptional medical service. His expertise as a skilled surgeon has offered vital care to countless patients across several respected hospitals, including Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital, with which he is affiliated.

Beyond his technical proficiency, Dr. Larrieux exemplifies the core values that make our alumni family proud. His compassionate manner, tireless work ethic, and commitment to improving lives have made him a pillar of strength for the Iowa and New Mexico communities, both in routine and challenging times. He currently serves as a mentor in the SBSHS Professional Enhancement Program, inspiring the next generation of leaders.

We celebrate Dr. Larrieux's outstanding contributions to medicine and healthcare. His career achievements bring great honor to our institution and serve as an inspiration to future generations. We are truly fortunate to call him one of our own.

Dr. Larrieux will receive the Alumnus Pillar of the Community Award at the upcoming Annual Pillars Conference (August 8-11, 2024). During the event, he will address a select group of attendees.
