Farmers Markets I live in Summerland and we typically have a Farmers market that is during the week and is very popular. I understand thru popular demand our community is moving it to a weekend and changing the structure of the market. To me this is so delightful as I attend some of the weekend markets in surrounding communities like the Penticton Farmers Market and Peachland Sunday market. I know just about every community has a market and a certain flair and community that goes with that market. Markets are community driven. It takes local farmers and community minded people that market their Tracey Savage wares thru local events. It also takes local buyers that must support and attend the markets to keep the local marketers coming back. & Family The markets are a wonderful part of the Okanagan Culture and I hope we as community minded people will support the vendors and keep them coming back. I love fresh veggies, flowers and the homemade baking. I love the feel of the local trade and barter systems some of the booths have in place.
