So in 2002, we created the brand as a love letter to our hometown and the stylish women living here. BC Footwear is a celebration of the West Coast Cool attitude that defines everything we love about LA street style. We want to do our part to make the world a kinder place, so all BC shoes are made of 100% cruelty-free components and are PETA-certified vegan.

100% VEGAN WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN TO BE A 100% VEGAN SHOE? We’ve taken care to source every component of our shoes (including the counter pocket, linings, and comfort features) from some of the best synthetic mills to ensure that the hand feel and wearability are not only of the utmost quality, but also cruelty-free. Our shoe glue is free of casein, gelatin, beeswax, or any other animal derivatives. When casual looks are warranted, we treat our shoes with a unique high and low burnishing effect that mimics the quality, look, and feel of fine casual leathers.
The best part? Our vegan footwear leaves a smaller carbon footprint. Synthetic leather contributes just one third of environmental impact compared to cow leather.
