1. The meeting was called ot order by the chairman, Brent Morris. 2. It was moved by Marie Halfnights and seconded by Steve Lynn that all nonoperational expenses over $200 not previously budgeted will need to be approved by Council. Motion Carried 9/0/0 3. It was move by Marie Halfnights and seconded by Jessica Jensen that all expenses must be approved as follows: Director to be approved by VP of Finance or President. S.A. Managers to be approved by Director Executive and Councillors to be approved by VP of Finance VP of Finance to be approved by President Motion Carried 9/0/0 4. It was moved by Joel Peterson and seconded by Alfredo Rolando that BCIT SA proceed with the purchase of 11 computers and six monitors for the purpose of upgrading existing hardware in conjunction with the implementation of the new Accounting Package. All of this to be done at a cost of $21,000. Motion Carried 8/1/0
5. It was moved by Jessica Jensen and seconded by Richard Ewing that BCIT SA appoint Steve Lynn as the Chair of trades for the term of July 1 to December 31, 2001. Steve left the room while we voted on the above motion. Motion Carried 8/0/0 6. It was moved by Richard Ewing and seconded by Holly Cunningham that BCIT SA contract Kami Morris to design and facilitate the printing of Orientation Brochures, to a maximum cost of $1090.00 plus taxes, including labour. Quantities to be decided by Holly Cunningham. Motion Carried 9/0/0 7. It was moved by Alfredo Rolando and seconded by Richard Ewing that the BCIT SA implement an Open House Committee, Chair to be appointed at the first meeting. Motion Carried 9/0/0 8. Meeting Adjourned.
