Student Health Plan Assistant - part time

Summary The student health plan assistant provides customer services as it relates to the student health and dental plan and provides administrative support to the student health plan coordinator. The student health plan assistant reports to the student services manager. Job Duties Extended health and Dental Plan Administration
Provide general information (in person or by phone or electronically) to students about the SA Health and Dental plan Provide detailed and accurate information and answering questions about the plan(s) Assist and instruct students in opting out or back into the plan; in filling out a registration form to get their benefits card Explain policies and procedures regarding the plan Ensure that students are eligible for coverage Assist and instruct students in filing claims for health or dental expenses Processing Benefit Waiver Forms, Family Add-on applications, and Opt-ins Ensure that all intakes are informed about the service including opt-out and level of services Assist and instruct students in filling out a registration form to get their benefits card Conduct claim investigation at the request of students Maintain information according to the Freedom of Information Protection of Privacy standards Liaise with Gallivan and Associates representative to ensure proper delivery of services / customer services Mail benefits cards to students unavailable for pickup Any other administrative duties related to the H&D plan Track the office traffic

Administrative / Customer Services Support Provide coverage for Uconnect reception and conduct all customer services duties related to the administrative assistant position (program registration, answering questions)
Other Related Duties Support student executives and staff members for their respective initiatives
Supplementary Information Work some evening shifts
Education and Experience (Minimum Requirement) Customer service experience required Graduated high school Proficiency with computers
