Peak Leadership 2011/12 Workshops 1. Workshop #1- Personal Branding with Jeff Balin Wednesday, October 5th from 3-4pm • •

Students will learn to articulate what is unique about them, their “personal brand” to potential employers How to integrate this unique ability into online tools, such as an e-portfolio

2. Workshop #2- E-Portfolios with Cyri Jones Wednesday, October 5th from 4:15pm-5pm (to immediately follow Workshop #1 for those that wish to do both parts, students get 2 workshops points if they attend both) • •

Learn how to set-up your own E-portfolio Note ** students need to bring their own laptop to this session as it will be “hands-on”. If they need to book one, they can do so in the library

3. Workshop #3- Keynote on “Community Involvement” with BCIT Alumni’s past Distinguished Alumni Award Winner (DAA) Ian Robertson (current CEO of Rocky Mountaineer). 7. Workshop #7- “Conducting Successful Meetings” with Larry Vezina, BCIT Director of Student Services Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 3-4pm • • • •

Ensure actions get done in your meetings Expectations of those running a meeting Basic Robert’s Rules How to get people to attend your meetings
