Comfortable clothes for cool weather and good walking shoes! Our campus is quite hilly and has many stairs, so please dress comfortably.

Friday, November 11 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Can my family come with me? Of course! Your family is welcome to accompany you to all of the scheduled Open House activities.

How much does it cost? All Open House meals and activities are free for students and their families. Students may stay overnight on Friday at no cost. However, families that choose to participate in Open House and wish to stay overnight should review our recommendations for lodging in Atchison. Please review the overnight section below for more information.

Overnight May I stay overnight? What about my family? During Open House, we invite the students to spend the night in a residence hall with a current student at no cost. We must be informed in advance via the Open House RSVP form if you wish to stay overnight. Parents and families are welcome to make arrangements with one of the hotels or bed and breakfasts in Atchison.

What should I bring if I’m staying overnight? In addition to extra clothes, basic toiletry and personal items, please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and bath towel.

Will my cell phone have service in Atchison? Where do I go when I arrive on campus? Unfortunately, not all services are alike. We’ve found that AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint get the best coverage for our area.

Check-in will be on the first floor of the Student Union at 1:00pm. We will have lunch provided on Friday through the cafeteria.

Is your campus wireless?

Where may I park?

We have several wireless hot spots on campus, including our library, Student Union, Raven Roost, cafeteria, and most dorm lounges.

You may park in the lot next to St. Benedict’s Hall. We will include a complimentary parking pass in the confirmation email we will be sending to attending students.

Will I need money for food? The Office of Admission will provide you and your family with meal tickets during your stay.
