FSVP- Foreign Supplier Verification Program
Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) requirements are part of FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act), which was established in 2011. The final rule given in the FSMA FSVP Rule (21 CFR 1, 11 & 111) requires that importers perform certain risk-based activities to verify that food imported into the United States has been produced in a manner that meets applicable U.S. safety standards.

This course is designed to help participants understand the role of food importers under the new Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) rule, part of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
This training covers your responsibilities as a “qualified individual” if you are an FSVP importer and how this relates to the foreign suppliers and how it is different to the custom requirements for importing food products, packaging materials and ingredients
