ABSTRACT

Methodology applied to salve guarding and storage of photographic material presenting practical solutions based on experiences and research done at the National library.

Examples and day to day operations are compatible and can be utilized for photographic material, as well as other material that need to be preserved from outside aggressions such as dust, light and temperature changes.

It shown, through illustrations and images the details of each storage process and the raw material and furniture to be used for preservation purposes.

Manual to be used by every library and archive as orientation guide.
