O

ur story starts one sunny morning, in the country residence of two young countesses who have been brought together through their adventures in finding the most delightful fabric for their personal clothes. The Countess of Monte-Christo, Lady Ami, and The Countess of Le Coure, Lady Victoria, are ladies who epitomise the elegant and fun nature of our Charming clothes, featuring a mix of the finest cottons, satins, laces and pearls. Join them in their little story through the day, changing costumes to suit their carefree and fanciful moods.

W

hat a morning! After the difficult decision of what to wear for her morning breakfast in the sun, Lady Ami finds comfort in the shade. Wearing her delightful Virginia Dress, a cream coloured floaty dress that’s fitted at the empire line and embellished in rows of lace, she’s quickly distracted by sounds of a scurrying creature in the bush.

I

nto the midday, Lady Victoria always finds time for a leisurely stroll through the front lawn into her secluded flower gardens, and today she wears the Albina Dress. It is a simple black and pink thigh length dress with a dancing butterfly print, it features a delightful satin black ruffle that follows the v-neck line with a bow on the front.

T

aking a rest from the hot sun, she stands gazing at the butterflies dancing among the flowers; it’s almost as if they have lifted off from her dress, she wonders.

ressed in her full length Harmony Dress, Lady Victoria takes a gentle walk through her meadow fields. Usually she can be seen here riding one of her horses, today she’s enjoying the free flowing airy dress. A brightly patterned floral print dress, it has a waist belt that ties at the back for a perfect fit.

O

nce out in the sunny fields, the countess feels at home here, she lazily scans the large landscape stretching before her just waiting to be discovered.

S

tanding tall on the wall of the rose gardens, Lady Ami wears her knee length summer floral print dress. The Lavinia Dress has a multi coloured print, with an interesting pinching effect at the centre embellished and along the hem with a black crocheted pattern.

B

ut this time it’s the cheeky little squirrel that catches her attention. Now watching in slight amusement, maybe she should have put out extra food out for the garden wildlife.

A

rose is a rose by any other name, so irresistible is this flower, a perfume that floats on the breeze, the essence of Lady Ami’s summer garden.

A

s she stops to delight in the rose bloom, the Elinor dress she wears is the perfect choice for her stroll. Light and soft, it floats with her moves, the pretty blue floral pattern fabric being textured with pinching on the empire line, decorated with pearls and edged with white lace. It surely reflects the playful and captivating beauty of her favorite flower.

L

ady Victoria always delights in a private moment in the old Roman sunken garden. Standing in her Eudora Dress, it’s a simple short summer dress, as floaty as her imagination. A pale green and white flower patterned fabric, it features layered shoulders with a delicate lace on each layer and a stronger lace embellishing the neck line.

W

ondering about times gone by, she daydreams about her tunic styled dress turning the heads of the old Roman goddesses.

A

s Lady Ami graced down the stairway, she casually glanced at the clock whilst wearing her Augusta Jacket. It’s a brocaded silvery white jacket with a crocheted pattern covering the wide lapels and deep hem line. She felt perfectly covered for a short summer’s day jaunt out to her favourite local boutique to see the latest fashions.

H

owever, her fleeting mind raises a little question; should she take the carriage waiting, or ask the horse hand to fetch her trusty steed instead? But then would she have time to change her plans and be able to return back in time for the tea cakes?

T

he Countess often makes a change of clothes on her whim and in her private chambers she wonders carefree. Getting ready for the lazy afternoon, Lady Victoria has chosen to wear her Jemima Dress. This is a delightful short dress, a cream coloured crochet flower design is overlaid a satin fabric with a simple cluster of pearls covering the shoulders. For a touch of fun she’s decided to wrap a ribbon length of flowers around her wrist for a simple accessory.

B

ut now she wonders, once in from collecting fresh flowers, what can be the next outfit of the day. Ahh, such are the simple pleasures of life!

I

n her drawing room, Lady Victoria stands captivated listening to her favourite piano recitals. At this moment she’s wearing a delightful duo of simple light blue Baia Trousers and a cream Maisa Jacket. Her trousers are fitted with a slight flair to her toes, decorated with gold floral pattern on the pocket edge and matching shell buttons. The beautiful jacket has a repeating brocade pattern and is influenced with an eastern style of design. Cut short at the waist, it has a wide crochet decoration on the arms and lace frill around the neck line.

I

t seems a perfect choice to allow for free movement when the Countess sits at her piano, dazzling listeners with both her accomplished playing and her wonderfully coordinated dress sense.

S

tanding in the window bay, Lady Ami takes a moment to daydream, she wears a simple yet stunning Lysandra Dress. It’s a floaty thigh length dress made from a metallic grey fabric, so it shimmers with her graceful step. Attached around the neckline is a voile shrug that is decorated along the edges with a silver circle pattern.

P

erhaps the Countess is wondering whether to call her carriage for a quick jaunt to her local restaurant, or perhaps she’s imagining what her prince is up to again at the Royal Court. Whatever are her present thoughts, we can be assured that she’ll be quickly thinking about what her following costume can be for the evening out with her best friend.

D

reaming of distant lands to visit on her travels, Lady Ami gracefully fingers hair from her eyes. She’s chosen for her outfit a simple yet striking two piece set, the Serena Top and Cicely Trousers. The jacket is a cool mid grey colour with delightful black lace edging and bold buttons. Her complimentary trousers are a perfect accompaniment, pitch black and perfectly fitted full length, flaring down to her toes. With pockets neatly decorated with a pattern made of pearls, the Countess certainly feels so well suited for her forthcoming expeditions.

H

owever, waiting for her entourage and carriages is another matter for the household to deal with. If only they didn’t stop complaining about how far away it was to the coast and surely there is room for the clothes irons too!

A

s the Countess of Le Coure looks out, waiting for her carriage to arrive, she wears the Beatrice Cardi, a fine knitted grey woollen cardigan with delicate lace, satin bows and crystal embellishments. She has matched this with the Electra Skirt, a satin black skirt that twists around her, fancily decorated with flowing folds.

D

rifting off into a daydream, our lady wonders if her prince will again fall off his horse; it was plain to see for everyone he was obviously dazzled by such coordinated dress sense!
