BE THE CHANGE/PROJECT HAND UP Be The Change/Project Hand Up is a non-profit, food supplement program located at 15 Factory Street in West Warwick. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are offering curbside pick-up of 3 bags of groceries for $6. SPRING/ SUMMER HOURS: Tuesdays 3-5PM for anyone with the last name that begins with A-K, Thursdays 3-5PM for last names beginning with L-Z & Fridays 3-5PM for Seniors (60+). Seniors may shop either your alphabet day or Senior day, not both. You will receive a bag of produce, a bag of non-perishables, bread & pastry, and a bag of dairy, frozen foods & meat (when available). Please visit them on facebook for more information.

WEST WARWICK FOOD CUPBOARD The West Warwick Assistance Agency operates a food cupboard at 1293 Main Street serving all West Warwick residents living at or below three times the federal poverty level. We are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10AM-2PM, unless there is a town-wide parking ban in effect. We offer standard amounts of core groceries based on household size as well as self serve selections of produce, bread and assorted other non-core grocery items we have on hand. In just a few hours per week, you can improve your English skills in speaking, reading and writing. THE WEST WARWICK ELKS LODGE #1697 West Warwick Elks Lodge #1697, 60 Clyde Street, West Warwick, is proud to announce that our Lodge is now an official free COVID-19 Testing Site for RI. Tests are being conducted by the Rhode Island National Guard every Tuesday from 2-6PM. No appointment is necessary and results are generally in an hour. This is a drive-thru test where you remain in your vehicle. Helping our own community and the communities around us is very important to us. Please feel free to spread the word! VIRTUAL BEEF JERKY TASTING AT THE WEST WARWICK PUBLIC LIBRARY West Warwick Public Library, 1043 Main Street, West Warwick, is offering a Virtual Beef Jerky Tasting on April 29 at 5PM via Zoom. Stop by the Information Services Desk to pick up your sample kit, then join us via Zoom on the 29th and taste the jerky flavors. We will hear from Chloe from the Newport Jerky Company about the products and jerky making. There are a limited number of kits and they are first come, first served.
